I made a video. If you can tolerate the autism and want to see more I'll do oil changes, alignment/setup changes, how to change the gear ratios in the transmission, how to use the data logger, and anything else I run into once I get a gantry crane. No bully pls.
Hopefully I can avoid setting off the smoke alarm in the future.

I approve of banana. someone will watch that if you make it.
My suggestions: first and foremost, more light. Videos are a visual medium and I can't see shit.
Also either get a handheld stabilizer or stabilize in post. Shaky handheld footage isn't really acceptable anymore.
You definitely have the right idea with the editing though, keep going that direction.
My request is that if you change the setup, give us before/after footage that demonstrates the changes you make. Watching parts get swapped is half of it, seeing the tangible effect it has on performance/handling ties is what makes it worth watching for me.

Thanks, I'll try to get some more light in the garage. If I do stuff on the weekends I can use the daylight from outside. It might also help to record with something other than a gopro. Making videos isn't exactly my forte.
I will try to do some before/after stuff for setup changes, maybe after I get the basics up there.
quality autism

how much you pay for that?
>>16280885
$20k, cheaper than your mom's camry.
>>16280866
Get older cameras and put them around on cheap tripods, then you'll have multiple angles to cut to and intersperse with your hand held footage.

Good idea, I have an old contour I could use. I could probably ask around and buy some more old action cameras off people who have upgraded for cheap too.
>>16280866
No worries, it'll get easier with practice. GoPros are decent, most cameras need light for a good picture.
Have you driven it on a track? What kind of plans do you have for it?

Not yet, just got it last weekend. I don't even have a trailer right now. My old one was go-kart sized so I sold it. There are many things I need to collect. Hopefully before the start of next racing season I'll be able to do a test day with it. My housemate works for Palatov so I could probably tag along with them on one of their test days for cheap. The main goal this year is to compete in the Northwest Formula Continental series.
I liked the sounds the removal of the sparkplug caps made :3

Me too, that's why I didn't edit that part. c:

kiwifruit you fucker.
How's the karting?

Take a picture of that jumper battery plug. Post it here.

Karting is good, though I had many technical issues this year resulting in some DNFs and not enough points to win a big gold cup. The IKF Road Race Grand Nationals are in my part of the country next year though at a track I am very familiar with so I am excited for that. Chance to win a duffy!

Ah!
That plug is an Anderson powerpole. I think it's a SB350 model. Very common, found on electric carts, forklifts, etc.
Good luck, man.

>>16282001
Wait, fuck.
That might be a SB175.
The way to tell is get a good measurement of it. The SB175 is 2.19" wide and 1.00" tall, while the SB350 is 2.75" wide and 1.31" tall.

Where do I buy these? I've always wanted some for dedicated jumpers on my van.
