Is it worth upgrading wheel size?
Pic related, I have a 2014 Optima LX with 16s. Debating whether I keep these wheels and go with 18s

You smoke Optimos not drive them

>buying a mid-size sedan
>not getting a good trim level
>not just buying a civic for 3k
Consider that every portion of the wheel diameter you're turning from rubber into metal will from then on be missing from your suspension.
>Dat big wheel meme
>Heavier, slower, more delicate, rougher ride
>squeaks, rattles, buzzes, bent rims, slow leaks, slow car
Enjoy. This is the future you chose.

Base model has anything a driver would need, stupid millennial faggot.
Also
>Civic
>3k
Show me one going for 3K that isn't an old piece of shit with high miles

it will have over 150k miles but you can find one with a clean interior and exterior.

I always hear the argument that cars are faster now and require bigger brakes, but that's not true at all. Automakers are using the same brake rotors for all wheel sizes in many cases.
Pic related, 2016 Accord Sport with 19 inch wheels. Same disc brakes used on the EX with 17s.
And if you want to upgrade the brakes yourself then go ahead and enjoy wasting money just to have oversized nigger wheels that are a detriment to your economy car's purpose.

>falling for the civic for 3k meme
>being this new

I'm gonna be totally honest
I can't tell if the 3K Civic shitposters are memeing or not sometimes. Because it fits /o/'s narrative perfectly given how many poor college kids browse here
Like I know 95% of the time it's shitposting but I wouldn't be surprised if someone here legitimately felt like a 3K Civic was a perfect car for anyone.
>>16277449
Yeah I agree with 95% being shitposters, 5% being autists who took the meme seriously
>>16277144
The Optima really isn't worth modifying unless it's the SX model with the 2.0L Turbo. Only then is it worth modifying. The turbo model has some decent aftermarket support.
>>16277449
It's not shitposting. Its the perfect car for 90% of anons if they sat down and thought about what they actually needed and didn't give a shit what other people think.
