2000 Ford Exploder v6
No heat.
>Temp gauge shows car fully warmed up
>Both radiator hoses hot
>Both heater hoses hot
>Coolant is full, and burped.
***Behind the glovebox***
>Door opens (when turned to Max AC) and shuts (when turned to anything else) on the firewall.
>First blend door past heater core checked in both open/close position. (I cut open the box, per this YouTube video watch?v=_fL1MhDqe8M)
I don't know what else to check. Halp.
Could the actual hot/cold control knob/switch be faulty? Like it still thinks it's turned all the way cold?
When it's all the way cold, and I turn it all the way hot, I can hear a change in the airflow.
Shit I forgot to mention the radiator cap does not seal very tightly, there is some, but very little resistance when taking it off or putting it on.
It does not leak, or overheat though.

minorly clogged heater core, other than that check to see if the car has a heating control solenoid/valve. some cars have them and whether they're electric or vacuum controlled, they go bad really often

you don't want both heater hoses hot. one side should be cooler than the other
>>16263345
that's usually when you're running fan at max speed and "using" a lot of the heat.
Fan turns on? Other than manually checking that the blend door is actually moving its hard to diagnose it any further than your already have without some (fun) dash disassembly.
I've seen kits where they have hoses that clamp onto your heater core connections and that hose itself attaches to a garden hose. You could try flushing (and back flushing) the heater core to remove any junk that's in there.
also >>16263271 is right. A lot of "small" cars have a valve that will stop flow through the heater core to improve a/c operation by not having a hot ass radiator in the HVAC housing. They're usually called a water valve or something, either electronically or manually (cable) controlled.
pic related, looks like its vacuum controlled.
pic related.

Thanks, I didn't know about the heater valve, I'll take a look at it this week, (not my truck).
Trying to help out a legit old poor guy at work.
