I have CLIP aka Manga Studio but I never learned it. I hate to start over with a new program but Illustrator pisses me off so fucking bad. Actually I'm not even certain it does vectors like that. And there is inkscape but I don't know anything about it, and again... one more program. Argh.

Inkscape is pretty powerful for being free, honestly. I don't have a tablet so I can't speak for its drawing capabilities though. Sucks that Illustrator can't get you those fine lines, which is a little odd to me. Seems that their vectoring engine for converting rasters behaves the same way though. Always blobby.

Honestly, I don't think your hand is steady enough to do it with a tablet.
Paint Tool SAI is super simple and it has a stabalizer for ur shaky hand. but there's no real vectors in that either. it MIGHT work out better to do the lineart there, and then autotrace in illustrator.

tbhfam... you would've been done already if you had used the pentool from the beginning its not even a complicated vector

I use pigment. If you're not doing something big and just printing stickers for fun I'd recommend maybe a Pixma Pro-10 or a Epson P600 for printing, both use pigment inks and aren't *too* expensive.

So, can you make decent stickers on laser printable vinyl? I have a cousin who used his color laser printer to print some stickers for an event and he says they turned out fine, I didn't actually see how they turned out yet though.

There are a variety of ways. Full retrace is an option, tracing out only what needs fixing is another. If your image is already fuckhuge (the one you posted isn't), sometimes what I'll do is just alter it in raster form after it's been machine vectored, and then machine vector it again since it'll look good at that point and it's fast. Though that can take a lot of time that would be better spent just tracing it like that anon above was complaining about in Illustrator.

I don't have much experience with it, I worked with a graphic designer who did earlier this year for a work project and the stuff he did was pretty great, so I'm certain there's a good way to do it in that program. I would try some simpler designs first to see if you can get the hang of it and produce the results you want, if not then it's not right for your application.
