It depends on the person and how quickly it clicks for you. If you already understand the theory of driving a manual and simply need to just practice doing it yourself, you could 'get it' in as little as an hour. You'll only ever become good at driving a manual after you get your own car and you just go driving on your own.

That's how I did it. I bought a manual car, the previous owner was kind enough to drop the car off to my house so I wouldn't risk an accident on the way home from buying it and then I just went driving by myself at quiet times and it only took me a few days before I felt quite confident.

Nothing standard. Do you mean 300kmh on speedo or actual 300kmh? Most speedos get exponentially innacurate the higher the speed i.e 105 on speedo is usually 95-100, 200 on speedo is usually ~180 etc. The Vy hsv gts, with 300kw, could only get to 268 km on the you yangs test track. To go an extra 30kmh takes a disproportionate amount of power.

Also, at snowy mountain 1k recently the fastest skyline went 332kmh....with 1000hp, 6 speed dog box etc.

Cheapest way to 300kmh? Turbocharged v8 commodore.

which struck me as very odd, why do such a thing but keep no receipts or records.
