Ask your dumb questions here

Mine is a question about the dodge stratus; guy has one listed and says it's awd, I'm 99% certain it's a fwd car, and I can't find anything saying otherwise. Is the guy just retarded, or am I?

Picture unrelated but a e s t h i c
>>
FWD. People not even knowing what drivetrain they have is why I won't touch Craigslist.
>>
Guys i'm a little scared. Over the course of the week, i've witnessed two different soccer moms take a picture of my license plate at a stop light. I dont drive too fast so why the fuck are they doing this?
>>
Afaik, they were all FWD as they left the showroom. Since some of them were based on the Mitsu Eclipse platform I've heard of people doing the AWD conversion using Mitsu parts.

I'd avoid unless I knew the guy who did the conversion was a professional. It would suck to drop a rear propshaft while going down the highway.
>>
>>16251399
I don't know what you're doing to trigger them but they can't do shit with a license plate photo.
>>

>>16251405
Ah I see. The price was sitting at 450 because it's a donation car, dunno what that means but for now it means I'm not touching that car.

Although it did lead me to another one with more info and reliable pictures for 1k, so cool.
>>
How does one keep calm when dealing with the pressures of trying to deal with jews at dealerships? Damn near snapped when they showed me the "Fees" being attached to the car price. 1300 dollars of absolute bullshit.

I do play my music a little loud. If they file a complaint I can just deny it because of no evidence, right?
>>
>>16251497
1. Cops aren't going to give a shit or even do anything about it even if there was evidence
2. There has to be proof that it was you driving
3. The women have no proof of you doing anything if it's just a photo

You sure there's nothing that stands out about your car that would warrant a picture for another reason?

It's a stock 08 outback. I have some paracord and clips in my trunk to keep shit from sliding around but thats it.

>head to bank
>soccer mom parked in handicapped spot
>no plates no hanger
>she is coming out
>say "you know that's a handicapped spot right?"
>she loses her shit, goes off on me screaming
>this is shit I don't need
>I walk away and flip her the bird over my shoulder as I go in the bank

several hours later I'm chilling at home
>ding dong
>couple of officers in drive
>come downstairs see what I can do to help
>walk out door
>they are 30' away flanked out in a V
>hands on gun butts
>I'm in gym shorts tee and bare feet

In short we had a long chat about what is legal (free speech is flipping the bird randomly into the air) what is illegal (words or gestures escalating a conflict) and who decides (a jury, not a cop or some cunt) if flipping a bird over your shoulder as you walk away is the latter.

I don't know who she knew or what she said but I basically ignored her and I think that's what really pissed her the fuck off, the bird thing was just an excuse for the officers- who showed up expecting me to be a 7' tall raging nigger on angle dust not a pasty irish neckbeard.

in the end I wound up giving them a tour of my van and everybody was chill even though I wouldn't promise to not call people out on hc parking nor keep my middle finger to myself.

Rear ones went okay but it's hard to get anything out of the front ones, the nipple is clean the lines look fine.

I don't know what to do, are there any special steps for a car with ABS?

Can anyone identify this drivetrain?
>>
>>16252195

Yes. Brake fluids are all basically the same within a rating. If you want "premium" brake fluid, use DOT 4 instead of DOT 3. Or Perhaps even DOT 5.1 (NOT 5) if you can find it and want to spend the money.

It's better to change DOT 3 more often than it is to rarely change DOT 4 because they're all hygroscopic and that "de-rates" the brake fluid over time as it picks up water.

I'm anal about brakes, so I use DOT 4 and bleed them every year on my bikes.
>>
>>16253385
What methods are you using to get the brake fluid out?

The best way to do it is with two people, one pumping the brake pedal and the other turning the bleed nipple.
>>
>>16253638

I don't know about cars and whether their ABS reservoir / manifold has a purge function.

On my bike with ABS the computer maintenance / diagnostics protocols have a function where you can repeated force the ABS pump to cycle and pumps fluid through the manifold. It double the amount of time to bleed, but gets that fluid out and bled.
>>
>>16251466

Saying you don't want them not work? Threaten to walk away and maybe they'll change their tune.

I have a 1 way valve and some hose, the pressure required to overcome the valve was way too much.

Just put some hose in a plastic bottle and filled it above the intake of the hose like pic related.

So there's no pressure to be overcome outside of the calipers, it can flow free. I just put the hose on, open the vale and pump the pedals filling the res as it got low.

To the fag that I was talking to, thanks. The newer gasket wasn't a perfect fit, but it was so close that with a little coaxing/foam tape it's got a great seal and my hatch no longer leaks.

This.

Rule Numero Uno when buying anything, but especially cars: Always be willing to walk.

If you get emotionally evolved they have you by the balls. And if you get angry you're only hurting yourself.
>>
>>16252875

In what parallel universe is flipping the bird illegal?
>>
>>16253659

Yeah. The automakers are cranking 18 million new cars in the US every year, and more coming every day. You don't HAVE to buy a car, but they MUST sell cars to stay in business. It's all just making a deal where they make some money and move cars, and you leave happy with no hard feelings. You can always walk.

Don't take it personally.
>>
>>16253656
are you topping up master cylinder as you go?
what order of wheel did you go from? furtherst from cylinder to closest? Is the hose to form an upwards facing kink or downwards facing?
its much easier with two people to get all the air out than alone, cant tell if all the air is gone if its just you and you cant see the line as youre stomping the brakes.
>>
bought a k&n washable air filter
bought because a one of $60 is better than the $20 i'll spend every time for the throwaway ones.
It claims that you gain power and torque, i dont buy it and highly doubt it.
thoughts?
>>
>>16253695
Topping the cylinder up as I'm going, never letting it get below 1/4 full.

Started from from the furtherest back, then closer back, then furtherest front then closest front.

Checked all the lines for kinks, none. all the lines on the hoses are straight.
>>
>>16253705

They don't filter as well as a pleated paper filter. You will see more dust enter the engine.

I use an oiled foam filter on my dirt bike, but I don't expect it to last more than 30K miles.
>>
>>16253705
They probably mean more power than a dirty filter. Unless it's a different design or one that lets more air flow.
>>
>>16253649
Mechanic here, 99% of cars with ABS (with the exception of certain Land Rovers and Pajeros with electrically boosted brakes) don't require you to bleed the ABS system in order to get a good pedal.

The only time fluid actually passes through any of the ABS solenoid channels is when it's active, so if your ABS isn't working properly then it would at least need a proper bleed done using a scan tool.
>>
>>16253713
>>16253714
rip.
old filter was certainly doing its job, not very dirty at all but a few bugs in the pleats.
its eant to be a high flow filter.
less segments than the paper one for sure.
the induction noise is certainly different, it sounds a bit angrier at 5+k where you would usually hear the induction noise anyway. kinda metallic, i like it.

Automatic is good if you sit in stop-and-go traffic all the time.

Old automatics (less than 5 speed) get worse mileage than manuals.

They're about equal on the highway.

I dunno, man. Test drive one of each and get whatever feels right to you.
>>
>>16253941
Maybe.
Maybe you're letting the clutch out a bit fast.

I usually try to bring the RPMs up ~50 above idle, and maintain that throughout letting the clutch out.

In practice, it's usually more like 2-300 above idle and the RPM drops about to idle.

Practice, practice, practice, and don't be afraid of trying different methods

There is a law which says it's illegal to use language or gestures to incite or escalate a situation in Colorado. It's pretty thin to extend that to randomly flipping the bird at some cunt, and it would never get to court, but it's still broadly technically illegal. It certainly hasn't stopped me from flipping people off.

There was actually a case in another state where a guy win the right to flip police off as freedom of speech-he literally had to go to court for flipping off every cop he saw all the time.

No vanlife thread atm. I was going to move into my vehicle tomorrow morning. My window just got smashed last night, i just came back from the police (insurance won't cover it so it's out of my pocket). someone tried to break in. i had a rolled rug and a few empty cardboard boxes in it and a blanket. My windows are heavily tinted already though. Other than getting a steering wheel lock, what security measures should I take? get an alarm system for it? At night I will have covers on the window but is that helpful? It was done sometime last night. During the day there's a lot of people around walking their dogs. So if I have covers on my windows at night, does that make me less vulnerable to theft or more? obviously I'm going to have all of my possessions in the vehicle, mainly boxes of clothing and my bedding. I can hide my laptop in the empty place the seats would fold into (removed the seats). Otherwise all i have is clothing and blankets.

specifically I don't know what to do because it's friday now, can't get it repaired before I move into it, just asked for an extra day and my flatmate won't let me stay another night or two.

So anyway is just a steering wheel lock enough to deter theft significantly? I want to get an alarm system put in as well but it might be a week or two until then. Any other advice is good too, I can't really think straight right now, this is just the worst possible time this could have happened. One way or another tomorrow night i am sleeping in that vehicle. I'm also going to think about "moving" to a less crime-y suburb and taking the rail in every day. not sure yet.
>>
>>16254663

**i should say this area is supposedly really safe, but there are hobos around. very family oriented and a lot of people walking dogs from morning until like 11 pm.

what should I do about the window in the mean time? i can't get it to a mechanic until monday and i have no garage, just street parking. I also don't want to drive it like this, it's drivers side front window. Should I put packing tape over it, or a tarp or something?
>>
>>16254663
>can't get it replaced before i move in
duct tape and some cardboard the hole up
Plastic bag on the outside for waterproofing
if you can wrench and it's not a fixed window (like the windshield or rear windows) you may be able to get a replacement at a junkyard
>how do i prevent theft?
get a storage unit and keep anything irreplaceable or expensive there
If you're living in it this will prevent theft better than an alarm or the club, save your money for housing
>not taking your houselessmobile with you everywhere
i would advise against this, it's your home now
figure out a few good places to camp at night, at least 3, and rotate
good luck an/o/n

Important question: person is selling a 2005 rx8, manual, for 1500, with the tag "needs engine," I haven't inquired any further as to why it needs one.

It's 1500 though, so my question is, can I buy this car, but an engine, and pay someone to drop it in and not take a bath on this?

I don't know in the USA but in the UK an RX-8 non-runner [from engine blowing] costs £250-800 averaging probably 700 by volume.

This is because a proper rotary rebuild [in the UK, we have lots of rotary specialists not too sure how easy it will be if you're US] is around 2-3k depending on the level of damage and how much you want to replace.

Dumb novice DIY maintenance guy here, so I have several questions because I'm not sure if they are related.

First of all, find the short that caused the problem and fix it. Then cut out the burned sections of wire and solder (or butt connect) them back with new sections. Or find a junkyard and get the harness for pennies.
>>
>>16255731
You just cut out the sections of bad wire and splice new wire in. It's really simple in concept, it lust might be a pain in the ass to actually do depending on how the wire you have to replace is routed.
>>
>>16255731

Pretty much what this guy said

>>16255788

Get a spool of stranded wire from somewhere, 12 gauge would probably work fine. Buy a packet or two of crimp connectors. Cut out the nasty bits, splice color to color. Heat shrink or electrical tape over the end product.

If you want to make sure the wire never shorts in that area again, use 10 gauge wire instead, and the rest of the harness will become the failure point.

>>16255802
>>16255819

Thank you all for the feedback. Ill try to find out where i can buy high heat wire and the specific connectors. As far as finding shorts go, it's just a visual inspection for bare wire right?
>>
>>16255910
It can be a simple obvious short, or a gremlin inside the harness. If you can get your hands on a handheld AM radio they are amazing at finding shorts. Just set it between stations, slowly move it along the harness, and listen for interference.
>>
>>16255957
I would need power to the harness for that though, wouldn't I?
>>
>>16255973
If it's shorting out it's flowing power.
>>
>>16255984
Yeah, but I mean in order to troubleshoot it with an AM radio, id need to turn the power back on?

That's not really an option due to the fact that it'll just reheat up and continue melting, causing further damage.

I'm looking at a car on CL, and the guy says it doesn't start because of a bad starter, but I'm a little worried that there may be more wrong with it that I can't look for without starting.
How to ensure that I'm not getting scammed?
Can I start it without the starter? It's an automatic, so push-start is not an option.

Buy a starter at AutoZone, take it with you, install it. You have no problem returning it, and lose nothing more than time.

When I drive and coast (foot not touching throttle) I can still feel and see (via the tachometer) the car revving every so slightly, and sometimes when I apply the brake, it will rev up just a bit. Enough for me to notice and say, "shit."

What is this?

Throttle cable sticking or too tight

Sounds like a radial engine (hooking together a bunch of single cylinder engines), and someone made a mororcycle with multiple chainsaw engines (still single cylinders).

I don't see why you can't hook two engines together (like 2 v8s or v10s -- since it's rare to find vehicles with 16+ cylinders), but that could make them less efficient and more likely to break than a single engine -- which could just be a logistical problem, and solved by making a bigger tranny or stronger gears amd stuff.

Are there any other cool cheap wagons I might have missed?

02 dodge neon, I asked in the last thread but forgot to check back.

I had the idea that the throttle body needed cleaning or something but throttle cable is much simpler. Sometimes with the extra revving comes a little jump, or lurch.

I've checked the trans fluid though and it's OK, may need topped up but is fine

I have a 2003 Subaru Legacy G4 and its overheating. It isnt leaking coolant, the fan is kicking on when it should but its not cooling down. The hoses to and from the resevoir are cool so I'm assuming its not cycling the coolant.

My question is this, is this a correct assumption and if so, is this something an inexperienced car gut could fix on his own?

Thanks much gents.

You should've made it clearer that you were buying a used car with no radio.

If it's 80s, yeah, maybe someone super cheap didn't buy it with a radio. In that case, your problem is that you'll have to cut out spaces for speakers and radio and whatnot if you add an after-market radio.

Just get some bluetooth speakers for $10.

>>16260858

It more or less increases the leverage of the engine, or something like that. Like it puts the engine at a gearing disadvantage, which will make slipping more apparent/make the car more likely to stall if you just dump the clutch at idle.

Doesn't necessarily have to be 4th gear, normally you'd just use the highest gear you have.

I got into an accident the other day.

My Nissan Sentra SV 2015 was only $14k with 9k miles on it. The autoshop said that it might be totalled after the accident. I checked the Blue Book and the value would only be $9.8k with 11k miles on it. Am I screwed into getting a shitty car for $9.8k and under?

I loved my Nissan because it had rear view cameras, buttons all over the steering wheel for easier control of volume and Bluetooth stuff, great audio and AC, etc.

I'm asking if I can expect a similar quality car for $9.8k? Or what should I do in general? A friend told me that a lot of autoshops will say that the car is totalled as a sort of scam, so that they can sell it to used car dealerships, or something like that. Find what the 'local' market value of your car is, find a nice average and present this evidence to the insurance company.

Braking brings the weight of the car forward, just like going downhill. My reasoning is that in both cases if the oil is surging forward it might be pushing past the valve seals.

The 'real' way to do it is by using a fog machine, but you can use a cigar or vape and blow smoke into the intake. Pic related.

>>16263943
>>16264172

Be gentle with the clutch and gearshift.

If it's jerky when you're letting the clutch out from a stop or between gears, you're doing it too fast or you're giving it too much throttle. Try to make it sound and feel like you're driving an automatic. Don't go super slow, either. Slipping the clutch will wear it out.

Practice starting out in first without giving any throttle so you learn what it behaves like. Once you've got that down, try to bring the RPMs up ~50-100 over idle before you let the clutch outand don't let it drop too much below idle. Quick, reliable, smooth starts.

Don't jam on the gearshift. That'll wear out the selector forks right quick. It should take about the same amount of pressure as you can apply with two fingers to shift.
I still only use two fingers from time to time to make sure I keep in practice.

Forget about revmatching and downshifting until you can upshift smoothly and learn what the engine sounds like at certain speeds in each gear.

One of the mistakes I made when I started was winding the fuck out of it in first gear when it didn't need it. As in, shifting from 1-2 at 3,500 RPM. In an ancient V8 truck with really low gears.
Most cars are set up to shift well at 3,000 RPM but first gear doesn't require that. Anywhere from 2-3,000 for 1-2 is fine.

Make sure you push the clutch all the way down when you're stopped, and between gears. If you don't, there's a good chance it'll grind gears, wear synchros, and wear on the clutch.

On a typical small car, you don't really want to be below 1800 RPM cruising in top gear. It really depends on the gearing, tire size, etc. but 45MPH in top gear is usually minimum.

They won't get any better. You can buy yourself some time by moving them to the rear, but they'll eat your shocks up in a couple thousand miles.

How do I start moving in a manual quickly and smoothly?
If I'm pulling out of my driveway I can get rolling by letting out the clutch nice and slowly but at an intersection I gotta go quick so as not to piss off everyone behind me.
But when I do the car always makes kind of a farting noise and jerks a little

Looking to get some Conforti injector software, and I've heard it needs at least a 10 amp charger so you don't drain the battery and fuck your ECU.

Anyone have a good recommendation for a cheap charger?

Depends on how fast you went. Worst it could've done is bend a suspension component.
If your alignment isn't off, it probably didn't do anything.

Depends on how many amps the component you're switching requires.

My car is making some weird noise lately, probably clutch or clutch bearing related:
- idle, neutral, clutch "closed" (not pushing on the pedal) = some metallic rattling
- idle, neutral, clutch open (pedal pushed) = quiet whistling
- a bit of gas, 1st gear, letting the clutch bite to drive off = whistling gets louder, and higher pitch when revs when the engine revs higher
- gas, 1st, rolling = all noises disappeared or are covered by engine and rolling noise.

What gives /o/ ? I guess my clutch bearing is on the way out. I'll have a mechanic listen to this shit this afternoon.

Left my car sitting for about 5 months, won't start without a jump now. When I do jump it and then drive it around, if I turn it off and try turning it back on immediately it won't. I'm thinking the battery won't hold a charge and is most likely sulfated.
Wat do?
I'm trading this car in so if there's a solution that gets me a battery good enough to get my car started long enough to get rid of it, that's good enough. I'd like to avoid blowing $180 on a battery for a car I'm trying to get rid of.

See the two rectangular bits on the top with the white text? You can pop those off some batteries to check if they've dried up. If they're low, you can usually get by for a little while by filling them up with distilled water. Either way, if it's low, you're going to have to replace the battery. If it's been low for five months straight, odds are it's dried up on the inside and won't be able to hold a charge as well as it used to regardless of what you do

I need help /o/

I had to do some work on my car which required me to remove my hydraulic clutch line and drain out all the fluid. After the work was done I re-assembled everything and tried bleeding my clutch but it's not going back to its original firmness. Even pumping it like a madman I only got a little firmness on it and its not actuating the clutch properly.

What the fuck do I do, is there an air pocket still stuck in it or something? Would buying a cheap harbor freight vacuum bleeder fix this?0
>>
>>16274114
are you doing this yourself?
i would recommend the bleeder kit if you can't get a helper
>>
>>16253893
A Subaru? Or just get her a Grand Cherokee because those are excellent.
>>
>>16274611
I bought this 7 dollar bleeder kit with a tube and bottle with a one-way valve one it but the piece of shit tube doesnt fit all the way over the bleeder screw, and it has some plastic adapter piece of shit that seems sketchy as fuck and doesnt fit very securely in the bleeder screw hole.

I was having a friend help me by pumping the clutch, but it seems like theres still an air pocket trapped somewhere. After some googling someone suggested hooking up the nearest brake bleeder screw to the CSC bleeder screw and pumping the brake's fluid into the clutch line which I might try.
>>
>>16274662
>contaminating your clutch line with brake line fluid
why would you do this?
you could just get a bottle half full of brake fluid and put a hose over the bleeder screw and lead it into the bottle, making sure the end is in the fluid and not above it
air will be forced out and CLEAN brake fluid will be drawn in when you pump the clutch
>protip: you can use a bendy straw for this if u have no rubber hose

2004 GMC Sierra. Suddenly started getting Engine Overheating notices on my dash. Added some Dextrol coolant but still having the issue. Outdoor temps are around 50 Fahrenheit due to winter. Hey /o/, first time posting here and I could really use some advice.

Someone is offering to give me a 1998 Toyota Camry for free* (*I need to pay the costs of transferring her name to another car, as well as transferring the car into my name). It has only a month of rego left on it and I'd need to insure it ($400 p/6 months).

Car has done 239551km in its life.

I've never owned a car before, but am transitioning from one house to another, and on very low income, so I don't want to take on anything that is going to keep costing me money in chunks every few months (ie constant breakdowns and "It'll be $300 to get this running again" etc). I don't specifically need a car since I work from home and everything I need is 10 seconds walking distance.

What should I check before taking or considering ownership?
>>
>>16274926
>what should I check?
you seem to lack wrenching capability, so I'd say take it to a mechanic and have him look it over. It will cost an hours worth of labor ($70-100 american britbong dollaroo equivalents), and you will want them to specifically check the fluids (engine oil, transmission oil* or ATF, coolant, brake fluid, clutch fluid* ) filters (fuel, air, and oil) engine ignition components (sparkplugs, wires, dist. cap and rotor) and your brakes and suspension components (ball joints, brake pads/shoes brake rotors.drums, control arm bushings)
he will inform you if any of these things need to be replaced and then you can make a decision then
some of these components and most fluids are easy to change yourself as well
>>
>>16274888
when was the last time you changed the coolant?
I would recommend a drain and refill at least
full flush and get the dexcool shit outta there would be best
then check the thermostat to make sure it's opening

>water freezing in the coolant
wat
>>
>>16275045
couldn't tell you, inherited from my dad earlier in the year, though he did regular maintenance. I'll flush it, though my manual tells me it pretty much needs the dexcool brand.

that's also after ~12 degree nights where it's untouched. I work closing shifts so it's 50 when I leave for work, generally closer back down to 30 when I leave. appreciate it anon
>>
>>16275064
it needs the dexcool brand b/c if you mix them it's bad and GM wants u to fund Prestone
rest assured it's just coolant that sucks and is expensive and you can replace it with the green shit if you get all the dexcool out (full flush)
>you will never get 5 years of service out of it
also if it still looks good u can get a tester to see if your mix will actually protect your block at 10 deg. F
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VAI0qD8aJYU
really tho test the thermostat, it could be trying to open at too high a temp which it reached quicker in the summer
or just replace it, they're pretty cheap

uuuuuuuuuurgh volkswagen shifters. Pic related. This is an '80s Rabbit (Mk. 1 Golf) and they used this stupid fucking Rube Goldberg system well into the '90s. This is probably why your shifter feels like dog shit. Why change something that (barely) works, amirite?

Ok, so.

1. There's a plastic ball where the shift lever comes through the floor into the cab. Replace that.

2. There's a bushing on the rod that goes back under the car. Replace that.

3. At the end of the rod, right in front of the steering box, there's a rubber ball on the end of it's own rod. Replace that.

4. There's bushings on the rod that the rubber ball attaches to. Replace those.

(not in pic) There's a bellcrank that a couple rods attach to on the back of the transmission. It has a bushing in it. Replace it.

5. And there's a couple rods in there that have brittle fucking plastic sockets on them. Might as well replace those.

After all this is done, the shifter will probably still feel like dog shit, but it'll be week-old dried out dog shit, and not mushy freshly-laid dog shit.

Now, clutch. On this car, VW used a cable to operate the clutch. I don't know if they went to hydraulic, but it's worth checking out. If there is a cable, it might need to be adjusted.

Good luck, bud.

http://www.partsplaceinc.com/products/product-detail.aspx?keyword=VW+Jetta+Shift+Linkage+Relay+Ball+191711173&s=396&&sku=14535

All told, $30 plus shipping. This is all 4 cylinder stuff. The VR6 has a different relay rod:

http://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/volkswagen,1998,jetta,2.8l+v6+sohc,1317723,transmission-manual,shift+linkage,10044

Which still needs the rest of the bushings, I guess.

Oh. One last thing. Replacing the #2 bushing will fuck up the alignment of the rod that goes under the car, and it requires an alignment tool to get it right again. So give it a shake when you're under there, and don't replace that if you don't have to.

There is usually no factory tint.
Tint on your car would have been done by the dealership after they received the car (check your sticker)
Non-tinted glass doesn't have 100% light transmission anyway--when you ask the tint shop to bring your windows down to 32%, they put something like a 40% or 45% film on so the net result is ~32%

Dude, no, I just said this didn't work. Theres a pocket of air that has to be trapped in the slave cylinder that cant work loose because of how the lines are setup. The CSC is way below the slave cylinder, and the slave cylinder I suspect is on the same height or possibly higher than the master cylinder (87 mr2)

The welds are mig and I only know this because I found wire scraps in the metal as I was grinding it off but they somehow managed to cram a bunch of pipes into this bracket and then got the most inconsistent weld penetration with a fucking mig machine.

I'm going to clean up the three bolt once I know what i'm going to put on it but i'd like to understand what kind of shit is happening under this car.

For that height, it's fine assuming all the factory vent tubes, and waterproofing are intact.

I'd be more worried about water entering the cabin. If it has, you're pretty fucked down the road.
