Looking into getting a 2007 Honda jazz/fit to learn to finally learn to drive manual on after only having driven Auto my whole 8 year driving career
Any issues I should be worried about? when inspecting it?
should it be a forgiving car to learn on for someone who has never touched manual?
trunk/boot seals have a small habit of completely failing
rust

Honda makes some good transmissions, you should be good. Join /hg/ when you get one

Honda Fit are pretty based and you'll be set later on when your skills improve when it comes to upgrading the car with more serious handling parts.

my mum has one. ive used it as my dd for a while when my car was at the mechanics. its got a 1.4 84 hp engine. thats the only decent part of the car, the rest is horrible. the steering feels weirldy locked in the middle while going over bumps, it has absolutely no feedback and the car in general feels heavy in turns and doesnt handle very good. brakes are grabby but when you really want to brake theyre not there. gearbox is average.
Buy a car with a decent torq curve. Those little hondas need revving and arent the easiest to learn.

don't. get a newer next gen fit or older civic.
