But yeah beat it back out from the inside with a heavy hammer, grind the rust off, drill a couple anchor holes in the lowest divots and rebuild it with bondo then spray with color match paint let dry thoroughly then wash the car a few times and scrub that spot extra hard until it blends in.

I'm an actual collision repair specialist. I can tell you right now that's aluminium. It's thin metal. Therefore what you need to do is take the panel off the car or if you can't, find a way to remove as much lining and other such adversaries out of the way. Then shape it to the bodies contour. If you don't get it close body filler won't help much. I've got more information on such matters if you need me.
