cx5 gets better mileage
go with the outlander if its an awd trim
go with the cx5 if its a fwd trim
a crv would be better than both

Tough call. From a marketing standpoint Mazda is the last company I'd buy an SUV from. Mitsubishi used to at least race in the Baja 500, and whatnot back in the day.

Mazda 6 wagon with the AWD.

it depends on your needs, if you enjoy driving and do a lot of city driving, not offroad than mazda. if you do only offroad and all you care about is space than the outlander. it will drive like a pig tho.
