i like miatas, but I don't think it'd be reasonable to have a 2 seater car right now. while it'd be nice to never have to drive my friends around again, I need the space.

I really like 240s. I know they're hard to come by (in good condition), but there's just something about them I can't get over. If miatas had 2 more backseats they'd be perfect.

Start by learning about your own car. Look up specifics. Learn your engine transmission suspension. Then if something goes wrong you can fix it.

Lol, I have only had to tow it to a shop twice in the 2 years I've had it, but yeah, it was my first car I paid 2400 for and it's a ticking time bomb.

I have replaced the battery and fixed the rear window motor myself, but other than that I've just taken it to shops for repair because I can't afford to be out of a car for a week waiting for parts. I'm 19 btw.

find a car that interests you, and learn everything you can about it. go to the fourms and find out everything you can. best mods, things that break, etc. google anything you don't understand. if you know everything about one car, you know a lot about a lot of them.

I wouldn't jump into a 240 just yet, my first car was a mitsubishi eclipse and while it has never left me stranded everything in it has broken at least once. That's where I started, changing the spark plugs, wires distributor and then getting into timing, alternators. starters and batteries. Before I knew it I could map out whole starting and ignition systems and shit, which honestly if I didn't know how I would be fucked with a 240. So start with what you have and learn it inside and out, next car you can just transfer your knowledge cause all cars are pretty similar.
