How hard would it be to DD a Lotus? You can get them with AC/sound insulation/radio/hardtop.
I can't afford an Evora.
iirc because it's super light and the suspension is hard to start with, it's a super rough ride on the road

It'd be okay but the trunk is pretty small and doesn't have an extra front trunk like a SW20 and AW11 MR2 has
Pretty miserable.
Small cabin, extremely tight unless you're a manlet.
Zero storage space, you probably can't even get a week's worth of groceries in it unless you live alone.
Incredibly rough ride due to light weight and stiff suspension.
It's great as a second car, horrible as your only car.

A fellow I used to work with did this. He said if you don't mind carrying your groceries on the passenger seat, it's fine.

there was something called Lotus Europa S (2006-2010) which was basically more usable and refined car based on elise/exige platform.

When I first saw the Lotus, I was in love.
Then I started browsing /o/.
Now I know that it's what happens when you give an autist (gotta go fast) control of a vehicle when he wants to maximise speed and forgo other things in a vehicle like comfort, suspension, comfort, looks, comfort, and image. 3/10 would not comfy again.

Most likely more expensive

they are supposed to be pretty comfy once you're inside, just hard to get in or out of.
>tfw elise is your dream second car
maybe one day

i like the looks of the S2 elise (the S1 looks a bit dated to me). but the interior really is quite spartan. cupholders? nope. glovebox? forget it. for those who think a NA miata is impractical, this is a whole new level of impracticality.
also as you can see in pic related you are sat right up against your passenger. good for lateral weight distribution though.

1.6l elise S1s can be found for cheap (at least here)

I mean yea you can find them for ~$30k near me but not really in the budget at the moment
