/o/'s thoughts on the Beetle?
I'm inclined to buy one soon. Upgrading from a Veloster.

Am I overlooking anything?
Anything is better than a veloster I guess.

Absolutely nothing. I'm with you on the looks and they are a surprisingly good drive.
I've also looked into the Golf, but imo it's too pedestrian looking.
Also looked into the Fiat 500 but it's so small I can't really live with it, and everyone says the reliability is abysmal.
Also really looked into the Mini Cooper, but I also think it's just a tad too small, and I don't think it's that qt either.
Golf is for boys, Beetle is for girls.

Nice Porsche OP!
is that a roush

Golf with qter looks and less practicality. Go try one, and make sure you get a good warranty if you buy one. Just be ready to sell it right when said warranty runs out, because it'll blow up a few miles or weeks later.

It's definitely an upgrade over a Veloster.
I had an issue with the Beetle Turbo I test drove (a 2012 model). The steering had 0 feel, and the turbo lag was noticeable. Beyond that I had no complaints, and IIRC, they switched from electric power steering to conventional hydraulic power steering in 2013 so take what I said with a grain of salt.
I would cross shop with the Scion tC though. It's the last year for it and then it's gone so at least try it.

Not sure how a Beetle is much of an upgrade over a Veloster. They're both fashion-forward versions of economy cars.
Explain folks.
