No, live where you have some room to build, and build a garage/shop with living quarters instead of a house if you are single. Pretty common, affordable in Burgerland, and easy to do.

AC really make for a more efficient work environment and heat pumps are reasonable.

Climate control is good for tools and machine tools especially. Dehumidifiers are also nice to have.
