usdm toyota got lazy and offered 3 trim levels on the ae86, sr5 4ag, gts 4age, sr5 3tc instead of using the ae85 chassis for the 3tc.

Plus it's auto, the whole point of a WRX is to have a manual so that you can get the most out of it.
