Are 2007 Ford Fusions good cars? I desperately need a commuter car, and there's one for sale nearby at a good price

I've got a 5-speed automatic base model. It's not bad. Doesn't accelerate very quickly, and it isn't the prettiest car around, but I haven't had many issues with it

Just speaking from my experience, they are boring, but reliable cars. The 07' Fusion in my family has never need a major repair (though my father and I have maintained it meticulously). What's the mileage/price on the one you are looking at?
Not bad at all, if it's the 2.3 just make sure you keep oil in it. 3.0's are surprisingly quick for what they are.
...Why is the Fusion a sedan and why does it have the headlights from a 5th gen Prelude?
Jokes aside, I can't take any Ford with the name "Fusion" on it seriously because this is what was called the Fusion over here in euroland.

Probably, I don't know shit about cars
The 3.0 is great
I have a 2011 with the 3.0; it is a great engine in a great car. Handling is better than you would expect for a midsize. My father had a Taurus with the same engine that is still working at 200,000+ miles. I am a shitty driver who has curbed the car several times at speed, and it never seems to take any damage. The only problem is that you cannot get the 3.0 with a manual in any generation of the car.

Slower than a 1998 crown vic, into the trash it goes. Get a Honda.

My roommate has an '09 SE.
Same model as the one pictured but with less features.
Its fine inside. If its cheap go for it.

98 CV didn't even have the PI heads. A 07 3.0 Fusion will smoke a 98 CV.

Lots of little problems, (like tpms, air conditioning, back-up sensor, etc.) but never a major failure after 8 years. Excellent gas mileage and quick up to 35~ mph.
