That said, I do wish GM would scrap the LS/LT series and make a good DOHC V8 as a direct replacement for the LS/LT and the Northstar. It's not like they haven't toyed with the idea like the canceled Ultra engine program, the Northstar itself, the LT5, and the more recent DOHC 32 valve conversion by Mercury Racing.
