Buick Regal GS - 2000
>3.8 v6 supercharged
Any other car that would be cheaper / better / easier to mod for a sleeper?
I love the look of these and those stats.
>240 HP
>280 lb/ft torque
>18 city/27 highway (I doubt it's that good)
Sleeper's don't run 16's my friend.

Yeah, but that's plenty to shit on any civic fuccboi with a rattler and a ebay header package.
the engine is good, but odds are that transmission will lunch itself pretty soon after you put any power in it.

Not really, not to mention any modern econobox would blow an old L67 equipped shitbox out of the water.

These 3800s are easy to work on. They're good if you're modifying for the first time. If you buy one, make sure it comes supercharged; it goes without saying that the L67 is setup for lower compression than the L36 (NA) series of 3800.
Do what you can to beef up the transaxle well. Those things are notoriously bad slop boxes, but with a tune to increase transmission pressure and a few strengthen pieces, you should be good to go if you're not doing a complete engine rebuild.
Transverse LS3

Don't listen to the shitposters OP, do it

>Transverse LS3
>Still partnered to a 4T65E-HD transaxle.
It can work... maybe.
>>16158926
go get its bigger brother the pontiac g8. yes its a holden commodore fitted with a ls1. the aftermarket is bigger for the ls1 than the supercharged v6

This is good advice too. It may also be worth looking at some of the older Caprice PPVs going to auction.

Except for the fact that you two dipshits didn't read the op and see where he was talking sleepers, neither of the two you fuckers mentioned are sleepers
Face it, the days of the RWD "sleeper" are over since every idiot who thinks RWD = racekar no matter what
>>16159016
>neither of the two you fuckers mentioned are sleepers
sounds very unastrayan there m8
>>16159032
Well Roge, they might be considered sleepers down under, but in seppoland they stick out like a sore thumb, which by definition not a sleeper, also carfags know what they have so deffo no sleeper
>>16158926
>More innocuous looking
>Cheaper
Get a fucking Park Avenue with the S/C 3800.
Nobody will ever see it coming.
>>16158987
Or use the ls4
>>16158972
The delusion is real.
You can make a FWD L67 powered car 'fast' for less than $2k.
>>16159005
Except that it's not an LS1. It's not even an LS engine.
Get good kid.
>>16158926
Do it, but get one with the Joseph Abboud package for maximum old man frumpiness.
>>16159246
G8 came with an LS3
and the only difference between l76 and ls2 is the heads and slightly smaller bore
