Corolla, definitely.

Wouldn't the AK be a closer analogy to the Thinkpad? Easily mass-produced, reliable in nearly any environment and in spite of abuse.

>>

>>16152322
Absolutely not, in the same way the Corolla doesn't fit into the list.

The Thinkpad and Moist Nugget stand up to abuse, but they're relatively characteristic and have never been mainstream items. The Corolla on the other hand is as bland and forgettable as it gets, like any random beige DOS computer or one of a million variations of AK, which is why in regards to the Nugget and Thinkpad the 240 is actually the correct answer as they're all tough but also items of niche hype.

mosin and thinkpad's appeal is that they're indestructible, so I think I'll have to go with Volvo 240.
>engines frequently surpass 250k miles and a couple owners got to a million with basic maintenance
>factory roll cage built into the body
>doesn't rust except a couple tiny spots, literally its one weakness
>big and square and easy to re-shape panels or weld in new steel in the unlikely event you damage it
>>
>>16152350
The Auris isn't shit, it's just absolutely bland. Just like the Corolla has always been. There's no legendary hype surrounding Corollas, they're just soulless econoboxes that happen to last longer than other econoboxes.

At least there's still the 740 and 940, and 850 if you're okay with FWD.
>>
>>16152456
True, but (at least where I live) 740s are a lot harder to find and 940s may as well be unicorns.

850s are wonderful, though, especially the wagons. So straight. So boxy. It's like it was built out of Lego bricks after the designers made a self-imposed challenge to make a car somehow even more square than the 740.

the 850 is a good car, but it doesn't have the volvo redblock engine which absolutely gives no shit. You could have completely blown the fuck out rings on two cylinders and it will still run and get you where you need to go.

Volvo's 240/740/940 are not great cars, but the don't seem to die, shit will break but it will still technically be drivable.

The nugget isn't a great rifle, but you can abuse it, bury it in mud, dig it out, use it for a pry bar and it will still shoot straight enough to defend your mongol homeland from both communists and nazis.

Reminder; the car has to have actual meme status and be available as in cheap and plentiful.

For /o/, this would be the Miata or the Civic, though the Civic loses out on meme status. The Jeep XJ would also fit well, though takes third place for lower meme status than the Civic, but the $700 running XJ meme is fairly prevalent and the I6 is unkillable. Hahahaha no

I owned three and two broke when put up to the test. The last one just fell apart. First the keys started just started falling out, then the hinge went loose, then it started getting graphical artifacts...

Lelnovo. Quality.

"stills runs" doesn't say much about a laptop. Only that you didn't twist and crack the mainboard.
>>
>>16154280
That's probably the closest analog to the nugget, I guess /o/ just isn't that hot on it. The PI Vic is a damn fine car, and takes more abuse than just about anything else on the road. They're cheap as borscht and have a simple, utilitarian appearance.
>>
>>16154496
They have a simple appearance but modern everything under the hood- modern fuel injected V8, modern electronics and electronic transmission, modern shitty plastic intake manifold that shits the bed every time, etc.

The nugget's beauty is in its simplicity and reliability. I've gotta put another vote for the Volvos. I mean, people regularly getting a million miles from the stock engine can't be all wrong.

>Moist Nuggets
If it were a few years back, sure, despite the proce increase they are cheap, but not as cheap as a Israeli Surplus Mauser 1897 in 7x57 Mauser from the 1948 Arab-Israeli War. Those beat the Nugget prices with a cost of $160-$170 dollars. I even found one as low as $120 while lurking Guns America. There's a possibility of Garands and M1 Carbines being the next Nugget due to a huge untouched stock of them left in Worst Korea. If the antique weapons import ban gets lifted, we might get cheap Garands.

If you're driving a volvo with a stock base model bxxx 8 valve redblock you could even drive it until the timing belt snaps and then just throw on another belt. With the stock head and slow cam the engine was non interference so it wasn't possible to have the valves touch the pistons in any position.
