It's a 2 valve 2.5 litre powering a 1600kg sedan. It makes ~120ish kW from memory.

It makes a whopping 220nm and needs to be revved to well over half the rev range to achieve that peak. It's a fun enough engine in a 3 series, but seriously out of place in the 5.

If it has to be another Bimmer engine, best and simplest bet is to simply source an M30B35 and make it a 535i anyway. Although you'd still be better off waiting for one to surface.
