Haven't had a lot of problems with the NH t9 600s.

Our cat payloader is dangerous though. You'll rev up for the hydraulics when you go to deface and it'll randomly shoot forward for seemingly no reason. Factory reps have replaced a bunch of electrical bits but the problem persists.

The little LS tractor I bought is a complete joke. It's like every attachment involves welding tabs so you can get a complete range of motion. I originally thought I had the wrong length cylinders but that's not the case.
Damn thing is burning coolant as well. At least I think it is.

>>16144203
No, not always. GM and Chrysler come to mind for fragile plastic clips.

I have a great dislike of NH. All the ones I've used in the past have been highly average or plain disgusting to operate. I see a fair few around my way though so they can't be all that bad, maybe I've just had a few bad eggs. My case has been a delight other than those clutch return springs, haven't had a problem.

This one hadn't been treated all that well, but that was also because it never really responded well to being treated with actual care either...

Rusted quite easily, the headlights were shit even after fully restoring the lenses, suspension felt somehow under-dimensioned (we swapped out shocks and the front springs), anemic diesel engine, rattly interior that felt god-awfully cheap

There is a reason why these were dirt-cheap why they were new, and why they depreciated damned quickly

I mean this sincerely; you are going to really fucking hate your driving-life with one of these

>>
>>16153141
The starter on the mk4 Polo isn't much better. It's behind the engine block, under the intake manifold.
You have to remove the battery to get to the bolts holding it in, and the fuse box is clipped to the top of the battery.
Oh, and there's a cable tray clipped to the bolts that has some thick fucking wires running through it, and the connections on the back of the starter are a pain to get to as well.

The official manual even tells you to take the intake manifold off, but there's juuuust enough room there to get the starter out behind it.

Fucking, for my Jag, you had to drive the car for 20 minutes, park, let it idle for a few minutes, then move the shift lever through every single gear and immediately get out and check it. It would read completely wrong if you didn't.

Made it real hard to get the right amount in there, and that ZF didn't like to be overfilled or underfilled even by half a quart. However, that shit was so unbelievably smooth. I could never go back to automatic, but that car had a really nice one.

Speaking of engines with no head gaskets, the Citroen 2CV engine was put together with as few gaskets as possible, being machined with fine enough tolerances to not need them.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, this Opel engine is quite happy to vomit oil from every possible seal as soon as the crankcase ventilation blocks up.

My first daily drive car (but not the first one I owned, was still in highschool) was an '03 PT Cruiser with turbo.

At least twice I had to do work to remove the radiator, or far. Either way, the fan has the come out first

Problem is, the upper pipe for radiator blocks it, so you have to kinds pull on the radiator and hope its lower mounts don't snap while to try to squeeze the fan by.

The book says you just unbolt that pipe from the top of the radiator......problem is, the turbo'd ones can't do that, as pic related shows.

I am so glad to be rid of it, one should not have to replace two wheel bearings, AND a wheel hub (the bearing absolutely would not separate), AND radiator, in only 2 years, AND have the hydraulic clutch fail within a week of selling it.

What's the point in Twincharging if you're drag racing?
