Not a car but what is this person advertising?
Celica Alltrac that needs some major body work for only $200. I'd pay 3 or 4 times that if I didn't already have a piece of shit project. http://detroit.craigslist.org/okl/cto/5865017628.html

Still searching for a straight car with busted clear that I can scuff and shoot, this seems like a good one but the bearing noise seems questionable

>>16133534
My other shit project is a 90 eagle talon tsi awd so I'm already half way there.
>tfw the black MR2 I was looking at got deleted by the author again
I'm just going to lower my expectations for anything relating to cars now, no matter what I do or where I check there is nothing appealing to me for sale
http://wichita.craigslist.org/cto/5865500409.html
Do you guys think this is too rusty? I live right smack dab in the middle of the rust belt so of course rust is unavoidable. I can't quite tell how bad the paint on the outside is, but I'm hoping if I see it in person that its not as bad as my car now is.
How hard might it be to replace the broken rocker arm as a beginner? IF need be I can get my neighbor to help, he's a mechanic.
>>16133791
was it a true black limited edition model?
>>16134450
I don't know, I didn't quite do enough research on the aw11 to know what paintjobs came from the factory
More opinions?

its a dealer, its rusted to shit. dont buy it.

I'm scared.
>>16135486
>http://newyork.craigslist.org/lgi/ctd/5855154217.html
Its pretty clean. no rear quarter panel rust is a good sign. But honestly for that price you can buy a base model L for around 1000 and turbo swap it for that price.
So I may or may not be going to look at this tomorrow.
>91' Lexus LS400
>181k
>Clean af interior/exterior
>Minor front end damage
>Salvage title
>$1000
I know these can be pretty reliable. Its honestly just the cheapest V8 in my area. Anything I should look out for?
>>16138070
timing belts and power steering pump
>>16137470
frame damage with new body panels hiding it
>>16138088
S'good deal though yea? Just wondering how hard its going to be to fix it up nice. He said he only stopped driving a couple of weeks ago because the hood doesn't stay latched.
>>16138101
If you have enough money in addtion to the purchase price to get the panels, grill, headlight and hood and you're sure there's no frame damage go for it

Kind of need a cheap (under 3k) suv/truck/mini/van to live in but, I know jackshit about vehicles. Any pointers would be helpful if anyone has the time to spare to assist a scrub.
Planning to sell on CL, what do people look for?
What should I mention? What don't I mention?
>>16143067
a good seller will mention everything.
thats what i do. I dont want to waste my time or a buyers time.
make sure to take as many pics as you can upload on CL. Make sure they are good high quality detailed pics of the interior/exterior, any damage at all.
>>16143107
I'll mention everything I can document.
>>16143125
good lad.

Good pictures of a clean engine, type it in coherent English, no stupid jokes.
The humanity.
http://chicago.craigslist.org/chc/cto/5809670522.html
>>16138070
You can find clean examples without damage and a clean title for not much more.
http://chicago.craigslist.org/nwc/cto/5856921060.html
>>16143067
Clean the car well. Inside and out.
Take the best pictures you can in a decent location - not your driveway or a parking lot.
Be through and honest in your description, but don't dwell on negatives. Write in coherent English.
If the auto needs repairs that will allow you to sell the car for significantly more, have them done.
Research what the vehicle is selling for and price appropriately.
>1982 Oldsmobile Delta 88
>27k miles (I'm guessing more like 127k, odometer doesn't show though)
>2,200 OBO
I know it isn't the greatest, but I love this style of car and it would also be my first car. It is also at just about the top of my budget, so I would appreciate any help with finding a nice classic car around Detroit for ~2,200.
>>16138070
I bought a 1990 for 6 and sold for 750 the next day. Don't overpay.

If you love it, then do it. You'll likely have to fix things in the future, but if you really do love it, then it's worth it.
If you do go look at this one, give it a really good look around, and check everything you can.
Watch out for the rust, too, since you live in Michigan.

You can find stingrays in good condition for as little as eight grand.
Just because it's an old classic car doesn't mean it's good, like if you care about power most of the cheaper ones have small blocks.
Who the fuck at Nissan thought this looked good?
>>16148626
this is what hapipens when you leave the japanese to their own devices. japan with the influence of the west is god-tier, but on their own it rarely goes right.
>Want an older 80's firebird

Getting pretty close to having the cash on hand for it. I want to talk the guy down due to lack of stock wheels and bad paint but otherwise the car sounds pretty solid. The fact that it has been up for a month though has me suspicious.
