Is Miata the only option?

I want to like them but I just don't.

Porsche Boxster fits everything but the last point (mid engine lol), FB or NA FC RX7 maybe?

Oh yeah, that was a thing.

Its all good.

Are rotaries easy to work on? I really don't know much about them other than the very basics of how they work.
>>
OP just get a NB miata...
>>
>>16116236
The non-turbo rotaries are very simple engines, since they have like 3 moving parts.

E46. 330ci
>>
>>16116238
I probably will. Just exploring options.

I'm also considering a 1996 Corvette (last year of the c4). I see them pop up in my price range once and a while.
>>
>>16116266
E36 were made up til 98, and are a lot easier to work on.
>>
>>16116278
>>16116278
But the e46 is a way better car. 6 speed vs 5 if you get a zhp.
>>
>>16116351
You can get more power out of the N54, and better suspension modifications more cheaply.

No N54 car is under 10k unless they have 150k< or something is wrong with it

Maybe you can haggle one down

Ayy, fellow tampa bro. I can't speak for the ease of wrenching on most of these cars, but they fit all other points.

It's actually easy if you know how to follow basic instructions and aren't ham fisted

The serpentine belt can be changed from the inside of the car behind the seats, easier than a transverse engine
>>
>>16116236
Rotaries are notoriously easy to work on. A rotary rebuild is so simple. People are just afraid because it's different from what they know.

I've been debating about picking up an RX8 in need of a rebuild for a while now because it's 95% the apex seals which are cheap and easy to replace. I think it'd be a fun project.
