Did you try replacing the water pump? It's bearing's seal could be a cause. Other yah that, head gasket could be too (in that case look for white crusts or kind of white deposits on the oil cap) and even if those aren't, check for thermostat and Idk, I'd you could check for all the gaskets...

My uncle once told me that pouring coffee with dregs into radiator was a patrisan style fix for minor leaks in old days.

Was the coolant ever boiling in the reservoir? You could have a blown head gasket. Exhaust gas getting into your coolant system causing evaporation.
