Honestly, some of these sub-$20K boxes would double in price with Lexus-level options. I hear ya, but there is no market for them. People, at least people in the States, equate size with value.

You can't make "luxury" into a trim. Luxury is a bespoke designed and engineered chassis. Extra chrome and wood panels is not luxury.

One of my cars is an 11 fiesta ses. Top trim level for the year, 5-speed. Great econobox.
