You do it every time the seals wear out, junior. If you're hard on it all the time you'll shorten the interval in which you have them replaced. Also RX-8s eat spark plugs, gas and oil. I own one and I can tell you that unless you're willing to put up with the high maintenance that the car comes with, don't even think of getting one.

G35 (rwd) or G35x (awd) can be had for well under $5,000 and are basically a more comfortable 350z. They're pretty reliable but can be a pain in the ass to work on sometimes.

I've actually been trying to hunt down a J30.

Despite your picture, check out z3 coupe, the Germans make cars for bigass people, odds are you won't be cramped, the 2.8L won't be the best powerwise but it's in budget.

Same drivetrain as a 300ZX. If Nissan Scum like myself can't hunt down a 300ZX manual tranny for a swap, I should hang up my Nismo embroidered faux-leather jacket, my Z pendant, and my GT-R baseball cap.
