Hi /o/
I've bought pic related to learn driving rwd. They are dirt cheap in Europe, reliable and tons of repairs. It is the 2.6, I6 166hp.
How would you mod it?
Right now its stock with a momo wheel and stick shift, I'll put ta technik full suspension and probably slk mkI wheels as they are very light.
This and dirt cheap? Where?

Spain. Living in northern africa has its (few) good points.
I've bought this for 1k€.
It has ABS, ASD (that's sort of a slip diff), air con, central locking, electric mirror... not bad for being from 1987.

I wouldn't consider 1000€ dirt cheap but that's a very good deal for a 2.6 that's not held on the together by rust

Come on, we are not talking about a 1.4 daewoo lanos.
Its not even a sports car, but it has decent chassis and handling and can hit 60 mph in ~8 seconds. I think I scored a good deal, honestly. You won't find mx5s in working condition for less than 3000€ in spain.

JAJA
put some bbs mesh wheels on it and swap the amber blinkers for clears.
>>16037647
Si los de gran bretaña no tuviesen el volante al otro lado hasta te salia bien importarlos
>>16037648
Clear blinkers look cool but idk if i want to lose that 80s look.
BBS wheels rock but I think pic related are lighter and also original mercedes.

Can one learn to drive in one of those? Thought they were too pigfat.

nice car op!
>2.6, five speed
>LSD
>decent condition
>1000€
good job
... and you know what's good. At least mod wise I'd do the same If I got another 190.
Make sure you don't go to low and too stiff with the suspension though, might ruin the car for you

thx
however condition is not perfect
> Something fails with the abs, it doesn't work well and stops working shortly after start, check abs light on.
Three mechanics and still no one has told me what happens
> Sometimes it stalls when going back to idle.
Adjusting the mix (without measures) helped, but it still needs work.
> Suspension is not in its best shape, tires are extremely old (think 90s).
nice to have infinite drift tires (zero grip though)
> Heater fan and odometer stopped working.
I think I've found solutions for this.
> Not sure that ASD works.
Haven't had time to check it.
Lots of work to do. I've heard that brakes from bigger mercs can be adapted easily. Also would love to swap the engine from the e320, which is very similar but is 3.2 24v I6 with 220hp.
Bumping with 190 AMG images.
I'll love to have it like this.
This was how mine looked before I had to get rid of it, minus roof rack. Hard to find good ones in the US.

Nice!
I don't want to put rims that big to avoid hurting performance, but looks amazing.
How did you lower the suspension that much?

Get springs from a 400E and cut down to your preference. Bilstein struts are the best to use with the stiffer spring the stock ones will blow out fast.

where in europe is this cheap?
>>16038414
I've seen kits of brand new ta techniks springs and dampers, both, for 200€ in ebay. And they are even homologated in spain, so I'll probably stick to that. Honestly I'm trying to keep the costs down.

I've bought the car in a town 50km from barcelona. 2.6 is considered like super big engine here, and also normies are CRAZY for diesel, like they don't even consider petrol as an option.
