Aston Martin is making an even better car than the One:1?

1000hp, 1000kg weight, enough downforce to pull 4 lateral Gs, the same as an F1 car, naturally aspirated V12, 2 seater with fighter-jet style tandem seating.
150 made at $4 million each. Aston Martin sure is making crazy hypercars lately, even if they're normal models suck.

Basically what you'd make as an LMP car if you didn't have to abide by silly rules, plus a second seat.
>>
>>16030441

Doesn't matter. They'll only make 5 for $50m a piece.
>>
>4 lateral gs at 300 mph
riiiiiiight
>>
>>16030455
150 at $4m a piece.

>>16030502
I'd imagine it's @ 200mph. Have a citation?

It'll be less on fire though

Has a better drag coefficient and more power. It objectively will be.

It will be. Since it's basically a road going Lmp1 car.

>1000 (SAE) horsepower
>1000 (metric) kilograms
That's like a square that's 5 yards on one side and 5 meters on the other. It's a fucking rectangle.

Call me when they make a car that's 2000 pounds and 2000 horsepower or 1000 kg and 1000 kW.

>Aston Martin is making an even better car than the One:1?

I'm pretty sure RBR is doing most of the heavy lifting.

Aston: Hey Adrian, want to make a car?
Newey: Yeah sure.
..One afternoon later..
Aston: Thanks for sending the blueprints through; we'll finance, design, test, manufacture and market these things while you do a couple of interviews for magazines.
Newey: Can I have my cheque now?
Aston: Whatever, see you at the launch next year.
>>
>>16030441
inb4 some guy buys them, enters WEC or some other racing series, modifies it slightly for the racing series and does well eventhough Aston never wanted to race it

>tl;dr I want this to become the next McLaren F1

Engineering a hand-built million-dollar hypercar is easier than engineering a mass-production economy car. They aren't under pressure to cut corners to save pennies. They can machine complex parts instead of simplifying them so they can be stamped. They don't have to design it so it can be assembled quickly by unskilled workers. Etc.

It costs GM $2-3 billion to engineer a new platform and re-tool an assembly line to build it. That cost is amortized over all the cars they build based on that platform for the next 8-10 years. If GM only manufactured 150 Chevy Cruzes, each would cost $20-$30 million dollars! But GM sells 250,000 Cruzes per year. Add it's twin, the Opel Astra, and over 8 years, each car's share of the engineering bill is only $1000.

Aston Martin will only make 150 x $4million from there hypercar. Subtract the cost of manufacturing, and they have 1/10th the engineering budget that is spent on a mass-manufactured car!

Get your Disney Pixar cars shit out of here
>>
At launch:
>Turbo AMG V8 making 600hp
>Flat floor instead of downforce voodoo
>Traditional luxurious AM interior with cockpit as wide as the car itself
>Torque converter Automatic
>1450Kg
>"We felt that there was not enough true Aston Martin DNA in the RB100, and when Newey decided to split from the project, we made the RB100 a true Aston Martin close to the ideals of our brand and customer lifestyle image. Hail Satan."
>>
>>16031944
N/A means not applicable. NA is naturally aspirated.

>>16032129
Ok, you do it then.

>>16032206
It's like you never saw the One-77 or Vulcan . What are you doing on an automotive enthusiast board?
>>
>>16030441
The Viper ACR (current king of the track) can pull 2g in high speed turns under perfect conditions and perfect control. How is that feat supposed to be doubled exactly?
>>
>>16033877
More downforce. Simple.
>>
>>16033877
design the car for it rather than tack it on. also likely utilize many downforce methods banned from F1
>>
>>16035291
>suction fans
>tires made of glue
4g is definitely possible. Make the car weigh roughly 3x as much with downforce and you've got your 4g.
>>
>>16035336
It's supposed to be 1000kg.

An F1 car is 702kg minimum, and this uses a lot of tricks like >>16035291 mentioned that are banned from F1.
Totally feasible to have 4g of downforce on tires that aren't street legal.

The street legal version will probably be more like 2-3g. Old man necks that buy these can't handle 4gs anyway.
>>
>>16035356
Sorry, not 4g of downforce but 4g of cornering force.
>>
>>16035365
Easy, slap a massive sharkfin wing on it
>>
>>16037204
The ACR an P1 have huge wings. Still "just" 2gs.

Have to build the whole body around it for a passenger car sized vehicle to perform like that.
F1 cars do it within the stupid rules because they're only 702kg and are tiny.
>>
>>16030441
>2 seater tandem seating
>v12
longcar is long
>>
>>16030817
18th, wow it clawed its way into the top 20. Still can't compete with the diesels or 4 cylinders.
>>
>>16033877
Even less road legal tyres. More down force.
>>
>>16038075
Top of its class, dude.

>>16038045
Doesn't look that long, really. What perplexes me is how they're going to have the weight remotely balanced.
>>
>>16039532
>Doesn't look that long, really
Yea that's what puzzles me. Look at that ground effects setup — I took one look at the picture and assumed it was an electric. Fucking concept cars, man.
>>
>>16039838
Obviously no trunk, just like the One-77. That's one of the big things.

It's supposed to look almost just like the concept, just like the One-77 and Vulcan did. It should just end up looking a bit more refined and complete.
