I hate myself for selling my MX-5 NA 8 months ago.

If i'd kept it even till just now, I could get $1000 more from it. More in a year, and even more after that.

They're becoming rare.

i had a 94 ranger 2.3 5spd that was falling apart and had a hole in the exhaust right after the header. loud af and slow as molasses. i miss it almost every day.

Yep. Got laid off for awhile, then got a job with a 30 mile commute. At the time diesel was ~3.50 a gallon, truck got 13 mpg so it would have cost me $15 a day to drive it to work, and I had no extra money to buy a smaller vehicle without selling it. 2 years later I moved and have half the commute. Sigh. I loved this damn truck. 1994 F250, 7.3 IDI turbo, 5 speed, 4x4.

And here's why. As a true enthusiast I tend to baby my cars. I drive hard on occasion but for the most part I keep things smooth. However when I plan on selling, during the final weeks of ownership I'll abuse the absolute shit out of it. Redline everywhere, full brake, smoke every pothole, hard turns etc. In a sense, selling allows me to truly own the car in a way I would've otherwise. I've never regretted selling a car simply because I would never want to own something that was stomped on an treated so poorly. I do the same thing with women.

Sold my '90 Prelude. Didn't really regret it but then I found myself a few months later sitting behind it late one night at a Taco Bell drive-thru after a concert and felt mild feels.

I also had one of those! I paid $800 for it, 200-something thousand miles, 5-speed, 2.3, absolutely stripper... no AC, no PS, bench seat. It was still a fun little truck. Had to replace the starter and battery but other than that it ran great. I sold it for $1200 when I moved because I didn't want to take 2 cars with me. I miss those small, simple trucks.

92 camaro RS. Had a fuel problem. Changed fuel filter and fuel pump, twice. Still starting problem. VATS went out. Fixed it. Starting problem again. Sold it to a buddy. Turned out to be a 50 cent fuse relay to the fuel pump. My dumbass. Then he ruined it and the city ended up towing cause he wouldnt move it off the street.

Only paid $1000 for it and it ran 3 years no problems.
