When is the last time you washed your car, anon?
I seriously hope you didn't use a car wash.
>car wash
I did.
Fight me faggot
>>16028501
>using a car wash
If you wanted your shit scratched up simply use sand paper, it's much cheaper.
>>16028507
Touchless car wash
>checkmate
>>16028507
My shit is already scratched
>>16028509
>wanting your wax stripped and your car still dirty
Yeah nah if I wanted to do that I'd pour isopropyl alcohol over my car.
>>16028493
>DD car
got it a month ago and havent washed it yet
>truck
last time I went dirt biking and got real muddy which was months ago. it only gets washed when my bike needs a wash
>project car 1
fucking, 2008 probably?
>project car 2
maybe 2010?
here is my car show / drag strip ritual
>stop at gas station
>go in the pressure wash stalls
>insert 4$ (2x4 minutes wash)
>put on rinse
>pressure wash the grime off my car
>leave car wash
>drive on highway for 10-15 mins
>arrive at track
park
>only water left is on the rear
>wipe with microfiber towel
>leave track
>come back to gas station
>insert 2$
>wash rear fenders and mudflaps to remove tire dust
Today.
>initial rinse
>foam cannon
>pressure wash foams off
>foam again
>microfiber mitt
>wash off
>handwash wheels
I drive a sub 1k car from the 90's,
Does spot cleaning for osg application count? Because that was like two weeks ago.
>wash car outside by hand
>Go to carwash and have them clean interior
They have these scent things they use that makes the entire inside smell like it just came out of a fucking bakery; it's absolutely magical
>>16028493
>washing your car
Kek. I bought mine in March and haven't washed it yet. It usually rains once every few weeks so that washes it off good enough.
9 days ago when I left on a trip
Came back and my truck is covered in dust. Fucking shitty polluted air.
>tfw the temp drops and condensation leaves spots all over your car
I guess I'll have to wash it eventually
I've never washed it.
Can't remember the last time I washed my bike either, possibly 6 or more months ago.
>>16028493
>washed car Sunday
>had to drive to neighbouring town for work
>Was raining
>Car is fucking filthy again
Why do I even bother..
It's been a good 6 months, should probably get it washed again
>car wash
Literally nothing wrong with my car wash, 25 dollars and they do a beautiful job with the exterior and a meh job of the interior, which I'm fine doing on my own
>don't tell me you're a poorfag who can't afford 25 dollars
bout three months ago, now it's fucking autumn why even bother.
>literally just washed car 3 hours ago
>went to car wash for a touchless
>the foam gun uses soap that doesn't strip muh precious wax
>drive home for a quick touch wash
>drive into city
>drive under a bridge
>birds sitting on ledge
>fucking 4 of them shit themselves over the sound of muh turbo flutter
>mfw

in 2012
4 months ago. I feel ashamed...
Yesterday, and then it rained all night.
As a side question, for waxing, as far as I understand using a paste wax will last up to 3 months or whatever, and using spray wax will last a couple weeks at best. Would it be a bad idea to give my car a quick spray waxing after every wash to prolong the life of the paste wax?
>>16032139
Speak for yourself, you can only afford that shit every six months
>>16028493
About a month ago on my daily.
The other daily...it's been a while due.
The projects? ...never???
>>16032328
I'm just lazy lmao
>>16028493
Couple of weeks, it already needs another wash. Winter's gonna suck. Yeah I used an auto-wash because I'm fucking lazy and I needed to just get some shit off so I could finish my hackjob of a bumper spray. I'm gonna sell the car soon hopefully so it'll be better than nothing.
>>16028507
sandpaper is expensive anon
>>16028493
>Tfw havent cleaned current car ever yet.
Bought clean in March, body shop detailed it for free in July, now it's rain 24/7 until Spring so no point in washing.
Every saturday. So almost a week
My mom hasn't washed her car in 3 years. And I was the one who washed it for her.
Nigger pls
I have the cleanest car on this board
>>16033398
My cars might not be as clean but at least I park them in a garage.
>>16033398
It's not hard having a shiny car that's only a few years old..
>>16033409
I can too. My hose doesn't go all the way around the house
>>16033414
>7yrs old and over 100k miles
>new
Pick one
>>16033454
>7 years old
only 7 years anon. Looks like you never had a car that's older as 15/20 years.
>>16033467
My old car was a 2002 mercury sable LS
That car was clean as well because my dad taught me how to use a buffer. It's a good skill to have.
I wash my car every other day at work. Its nice to have the materials available for free.
2 weeks ago by hand
I've literally never washed any of my cars. I squeegee the windows at gas stations occasionally.
>>16033398
Im not gonna lie, youre a shitty with a bone stock g35 and you sometimes overpost your car, but you keep that fucker really clean
>>16033747
Eh I'm proud of my G37 being clean. It's nice.
Not gonna be stock for long. Completely redoing suspension over the next month now that I got my savings back up with Tein coils, hotchkiss sways and a strut tower brace. Long tube CAI, HFC, and tune after that.
>>16033398
OCD? Autism?
>>16032139
Doing the interior is objectively less fun than doing the exterior.
>>16028493
Like 2 years ago. No point with how fucked the paint and body panels are
>>16034885
It's too fuckin hot to do the exterior in FL, I'm not used to this temperature
>>16028493
>Sister is doing job interviews
>Dresses well, room is spotless, really clean person
>Car hasn't been washed since she sprayed the salt off in the spring
I finally took her car and washed it. Simple green, soap, brush, wash, wax, the whole nine yards. Took effort to get the brake dust off of the front rims.
It's amazing how someone so clean can let their car run down.
>>16035156
Really depends if it's a beater or not. I've had a couple really shitty beaters where it wasn't worth the cost or time to clean it. If its something newer than thats a lot worse, but really it's up to the owner. Also you in MN btw? We're notorious for using salt in the winter/
>>16033398
Damn that looks good
>>16033398
>>16033802
What do you use on your car? I want my car to look like that.
>>16028493
The rain did that for me last weekend
>>16035582
>06
>four door
>shushomatic
wash?
why?
>>16035544
For paint CORRECTION, I use:
>Meguiar's 205 or Ultimate compound as Stage 1 (skippable if the paint isn't bad)
>Meguiar's 105 or Ultimate polish as Stage 2
>If I'm killing time I will use a finer polish than that, whatever is available. When you get this fine it doesn't matter, all of the polishes behave the same.
For cleaning, I use:
>Meguiar's Gold Class car soap
>Meguiar's Synthetic Wax or Turtle Wax
For maintenance and touch ups, I use:
>Meguiar's wash and wax
>Turtle Wax spray synthetic
>Or I'll hose off the car before I go somewhere to blow dry it, to avoid water spots
Once before and after winter I will seal the car with either Griot's or Meguiar's synthetic sealant . I'll first wash it with Dawn, which is super aggressive and will strip the car, then seal and wax.
Super anal, yes. But this is a $12,000 investment. You best believe I'm getting every bit I can out of that money.
>>16033869
See above. Autism? No. Just like my shit clean. Have thought about making a business out of it though. I really enjoy the process because you really get to witness the results.
>>16032223
Kek
Fuck you man
>>16036123
You should do it. I know people like you. You should think about this man
>>16036166
I have, I just have to look into what licensing I need, rules and regulations for washing peoples' car on site, costs for supplies. that sort of thing.
>>16028493
A couple days ago, and now it's filthy again because it rained for like 10 minutes then turned sunny as fuck again and baked all the minerals and dirt that was in the rainwater onto my paint.
>>16032312
If you've got the time, why not. Be careful what you pick though as some 'spray wax' is actually a combined wax and cleaner, which will strip some of the wax already on the surface.
Wax lasts quite a lot longer than you'd probably imagine. I taped off a section of my bonnet and waxed it around Christmas last year, the piece of shit broke down a few months later and it sat outside for ages. When I got it working again probably 6 months after, I washed it and when I did the water from the hose was running off the little square in the bonnet where I waxed months ago.
>>16036356
Hate that shit
>>16028915
Let's see the car fgt
>>16028493
Back in June.
I honestly can't be fucking bothered to wash it
In my defence, it's not actually that dirty, and there's a protective layer of oil on most of the bodywork from my road trip in august.
not washing or changing tires or getting inspection or anything, might lose my drivers license in november so whats the point in doing anything other than buying gas
