What's the future of FCA?

Jeep and Ram seem strong, Chrysler and Dodge don't. Will FCA cut their losses and make Alfa Romeo replace both Chrysler and Dodge?

Why do I have the feeling that Chrysler neglects the RAM despite being their best selling vehicle overall?
>>
>>16000941

Here chrysler and dodge do a hell lot better than Jeep.

who the fuck buys a brand new jeep?

and regarding dodge rams, why do people buy them?
They're the worst in every test compared to the other two. especially in accidents.

1. Stop chasing sales numbers.
2. Design and build higher quality vehicles with better quality control
3. Sell these with fewer incentives
4. Get to top of initial quality and dependability studies so consumer reports rates you highly
5. People who wouldn't normally consider your brand start to consider it
6. Sales grow.

because they know they can keep selling the same truck and as long as the laramie-50k-jerk-off trim is nice all the reviewers and magazines will be "it's bretty gud" and as long as they keep paying off 'award' companies they'll keep getting JD power and whatnot, and at the end of the day all that is way less than the cost of a redesign it desperately needs and the autistic "muh mopar" fanbase will keep it plenty alive for sales in the mid-term future.

they apparently think no one wants cars anymore so they cut the 200/Dart in favor or MOAR CUVs and once they're done saturating that market with 10 small crossovers of the near-exact same size so they compete with each other heavily, they'll eventually realize that they increased their costs significantly by having differing sheet metal and lines for self-competing cars and then they'll find themselves needing to cut extra models and eventually they'll realize the Dodge and Chrysler brands are tainted and all the crossovers they made were Jeeps anyway and then they'll just make Jeeps, RAMs and Fiats until they tarnish the Jeep brand to the point of no return where it'll just be RAM and Fiat.
>>
they have no future

i see the future being in very very small distributor

>especially in accidents.
they don't have to get retested unless there's a major redesign. The current one is from 2013, when they lightened the frame. So unless they muck with it (and they won't), it doesn't need to adhere to more modern regulations or crash tests by the NHTSA.
>>
chrysler has monkeys doing their market analysis so they'll probably just go out of business
>>
>>16001000

I say this not to be rude but thank god you aren't in charge of FCA. You would crash it and have it up in flames. Right now it's a controlled burning.

Literally everything you suggested is basically telling them to stop making money and charge more for their cars which would lead to them being too expensive for a lot of their market and competing in entirely different price brackets. Their cash cows sell regardless of course.

Dodge is doing just fine. Volume sales of Challengers and Chargers have only increased over time and they keep costs low by using a decade old platform and engine.

Ram and Jeep both have market shares that can't be stolen away at this point. As long as Wranglers and Cherokees exist, no one is muscling in on that territory. Plus, only Mexicans buy Duramax or Powerstroke since Cummins universally has a better reputation, so Ram will always be king of normie work truck wars.

Really, FCA only has a few things to course correct. They need to update the Charger and Challenger, beef up the Hemi and upgrade their interiors further across the board, offer more incentives to increase sales, and figure out the small car segment.
>>
>>16000941
Jeep will stay in business

Chrysler will be gone, Dodge perhaps
>>
>>16001615

Also, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram are the only things keeping the other FCA brands afloat. They're not going anywhere. Chrysler and Fiat are too big of Marques to retire, too - even though both have shit sales. Alfa and Maserati are hemorrhaging money, though. They need to fucking go.
>>
200 needs to be intrepid... make chrysler cars all rwd, only offer 2 of them a 300 and a smaller car... then pacifica and what not are fine. but passenger cars rwd
>>
>>16001176
Less profit temporarily is better than dying completely. But this will never happen because there whores to their shareholders.
>>
>>16000941
its gonna get vaporized by a thermonuke like everything else when killary gets appointed
>>
>>16001649
Intrepid was fwd. Chrysler did not have a rwd car since the Diplomat until the Charger.

Chrysler is in a pretty scary position right now and Fiat is totally fucking them over.
Dodge lineup:
>Charger/Challenger
Came out in 2006/07
>Journey
2009
>Caravan
2008

Chrysler is to the same thing but they did get the new Pacifica. Dodge has not created a single thing since the Mercedes days. The Dart was such a terrible chassis they wouldn't give it a R/T trim, 200 was a failure. And Fiat is ignoring the brands to promote only Fiat.
>>
>>16001783
that's why the 200 should be a dodge
>>
>>16001783
if dodge had a 500 car that looked like a neon, people would eat it up
>>
fiat needs to make a soul competitor based off the dart... i know the 500L exists... but is it cheap like a kia soul?
