I moved in a Volvo wagon once and I could barely squish a mattress in it with the seats all the way forward. Maybe one of those huge old Ameriwagons will fit coffins stock, but not Eurowagons, they'll need at least another foot or so in length. Also the open space with big windows is for display purposes. Apparently some countries like their coffins to be on display during funeral processions.

I have actually slept in the back of a 940 wagon with folded rear seats and i could barely (i'm 180 cm btw), so imagine a huge fucking coffin, it would fit but it would be a pain to get in and out and you wouldn't be able to close the back door
