How do people from countries that are not Germany find ways to drive fast?

It must be terrible having to obey speed limits when you have a really nice car. Are there many race tracks in your country? Are rural areas usually not subject to radar controls?

I swear I feel so lucky to live here, couldn't imagine driving no more than 110-130 on highways. The fines in some other countries are ridiculous as well.

Traveling fast on a highway is boring whether you're going 70mph or 120mph so I don't value straight line top speed. And the roads around here that are twisty or winding are typically really small so theres not much around here to enjoy.

The best race tracks around me are either ovals, usually dirt, or private club entry only. All this means is I have no use for dreams of supercars or racecars. Something like a Civic SI or a Focus ST or a muscle car, where acceleration and sound and look is more important than skidpad measurements or the biggest number on the speedometer makes the most sense for me.

Plus I have to add in snow & salt into the equation.

And I'm poor so whatever.

Yeah same in Poland, there are signs.

I travel 450km in one go twice every two months and I usually drive around 150-160kmh when on an expressway and I only slow down in towns and when there's a lot of traffic going slow, which probably means there's a police patrol camping for speeders.

I usually drive 20kmh over the limit and I've only got one speeding ticket and I drive quite a lot.

CB radio is a pretty good countermeasure to police patrols but it's kinda used less and less from what I've heard.

Germany is actually quite shit when it comes to car laws.
>Extremly high taxes
>Extremly high mandatory insurance
>Umweltzone
>TÜV
>Retardet import regulations
>and now the federal council wants to ban non electric powerd cars within 14 years
The no speedlimit thing is basicly the only nice thing germany has in that regard.
>>
>>15988718
>Extremly high taxes
Are they really that high? My 190E was 147€ per year
>Extremly high mandatory insurance
Depends on the car
>Umweltzone
that's only a problem for old Diesels
>TÜV
ok
>Retardet import regulations
ok, don't know
>and now the federal council wants to ban non electric powerd cars within 14 years
They don't want to ban the cars, they want to stop registering new ICE-cars
And that whole story was only voluntary
>The no speedlimit thing is basicly the only nice thing germany has in that regard.
And the cheap fines if you do get cought

There are better countries for car enthusiasts, but also worse ones

German highways.....
>always under some kind of construction since they were built before Hitler
>crowded with traffic around any major city or hub
>passing lane blocked by idiots and soccer moms in station wagons that think they're going fast

Italian highways.....
>not as much construction due to being younger
>not as crowded as they're all essentially toll roads and Italians are cheap
>passing lane respected due to the fact that Italians ignore all posted highway signs and driving laws and will likely run into anyone going slower than they are in the passing lane
>little traffic enforcement by cops
>can pretty much drive as fast as you want little risk

French highways.....
>not as much construction as Italian highways
>less crowded because they're also toll roads, and the French are even cheaper than the Italians
>greater respect for the passing lane than the Italians for whatever reason...
>little traffic enforcement by cops
>can pretty much drive as fast as you want with little risk

Germany was the worst place to drive, regardless of the "limit free" driving zones...
>>
>>15988059
>How do people from countries that are not Germany find ways to drive fast?
The same way we do it outside of the Autobahn. I hit 150 on the Bundesstraße on my way to and from work on a regular basis. 180 to 200 on my way to uni. Our police is lazy, it's easy to tell the spots where you could get caught and where you're practically free to drop the hammer.

Danish highways.....
>complilation of everything bad from above
>110kmh limit
>right lane going 105kmh, that's too slow! i'm gonna get in the left lane and drive 109kmh to get to work faster lmao
>guy behind me wants to drive faster? but that's illegal lol i'll just block him
I drove 35km to Kopenhagen this summer and there wasn't a single day where I could drive 140kmh like a real human being without having to slow down every 30 seconds because some cunt refused to look in the mirror and didn't speed up for overtaking or being blocked by traffic in the left lane.
Had a situation like this once:
>driving Audi A3 8L
>A6 C6 in front of me
>A4 B9 in front of that A6
>going in the left lane
>suddenly start slowing down, going 10 under the limit
>wondering what is happening, move to the right to check out what's up
>shitload of cars in the left lane like 400m in front of our 3 Audis, plenty of space still
>right lane free, fuck it
>start speeding up and overtaking in the right lane
>guy in the A4 was probably texting or something and woke the fuck up just as I passed the A6
>starts speeding up
>I'm pissed off so I keep going
>doesn't want to let me in before the big traffic in the left lane
>finally pass him, get in the left lane and have to slam the brakes because there's cars in front of us
>honks at me
>look in the mirror, guy shakes his head
>takes his phone and starts recording me
YOU WANNA GO FASTER? NO ONE GETS TO GO FASTER.

It's called breaking the law
>b-b-but mom will flip out!

>>
>>15988059
I always speed on roads I know are not being watched. If on highway I pay attention on what cars are behind or what cars I'm passing. Interceptors drive c class, a4, 3er and Octavia. If you see one of those cars in Croatia doing 120 in left lane it's mostly likely interceptors. When coming close to them just slow down to 140 and slowly move away. If they follow slowly speed down to 135 and they probably won't stop you. If they don't follow just wait until they are tiny dot in mirror and then do it again.
>>
Drive fast when the cops aren't looking

It's not actually unsafe until some redneck bootlicker tries to enforce the speed limit on his own by temporarily breaking it

>>15988938
the law is parenting for the weak. applied to the strong, it's slavery. if 60mph is a safe speed for a geriatric nigger, why should my pure german blood by paced by him? i have ubermensch racecar genes. i will not drive with the niggers.

do 88mph on every highway all the time.

Cheeky,

I'm sorry but who thinks of those retarded intervals of 10 meters of 120 km/h limit between great massive slots of UNLIMITED MAXIMAL FAHREN. I never bother slowing down.

Got caught once on a high speed run from swamp germany to mountain jew germany. Didn't have cash on me. Got escorted to the nearest ATM.

Had to hand over my license too. Luckily I have two. Suckers.

Shit was expensive though.

>during winter every frozen body of water is turned into a makeshift racetrack

Unfortunately unless it's rally, nobody gives a fuck about racing.

Latvia here, pretty much the same thing.
>Seems like a perfect winding road through a forest
>the actual road is complete garbage with potholes the size of small moons, all fucked up and also most of the times it's dirt/gravel with rocks that go flying everywhere
>go there, see a 15 year old with a rusted out e36 fly by me
>nope.jpeg
>go over 110km/h in night
>decapitate a dear and wreck your car
Most of the big roads are surrounded by forests.
Overall the cops are pretty lax where I live so you can rip through city streets at night, but then you can hit Vasha and Ivan coming home from a nearby party, drunk off their asses.
Doesn't mean I still don't do it. Also,
>nightriding through my city
>someone blinks their lights behind me
>stop by a yield sign
>a 1998 opel astra stops next to me in the opposite lane, looks at me
>I look at him, bewildered
>He revs his engine, drops clutch and speedy speed boys off into the night
I wish I was making the second one up
