It's not necessary to vectorize it if you will get it printed. Printed files are usually 300dpi, so if you want something 4" tall, the file should be 1200 pixels tall @ 300 dpi.

What do you mean by diesel? I could work something up design wise if you give me a better idea of what you're looking for.
