They're rated in the UK to have higher payloads but it's utter garbage. I did some comparisons using the few vehicle US and UK markets have in common and the UK rates their capacities MUCH higher (almost 2x) as in the 'states. Meaning the same vehicle, engine and everything in my comparisons, said it could haul twice as much just because US is more conservative with their ratings.

So an F150 can actually haul 3,000kg when converted to Bong payload, and tow 11,000kg. And that's a gas engine.

Trucks are meant for transporting things from one place to another. You load it up, you bring it somewhere, and you unload it. You don't leave it parked somewhere with a bed full of stuff, that's just stupid. For any valuables/tools/etc. that you might want to leave with the truck all the time, you can install a lock box in the bed, or enclose the entire bed with locking cover/cap, or buy a crew cab and store your goodies in the back seat.

Face facts or just stop posting. There is no argument against a truck when a truck is what is warranted. They're designed to haul things and dollar for dollar they haul things better than the competition, in rougher conditions than the competition, while being comfier and more reliable than the competition.

Just because you're mad that your government has made it difficult to own one, and instead pushes unsafe vans to haul heavy cargo, doesn't mean you have to take it our on your superiors.
