Can we talk about how in the saido bai saido battle in the end, shinji brushed off a hit with a sign like it was nothing, when it should've fucked him up, and how Spoiler alert I guess, Dagumi became deaf and could hear his motor overreving?

the biggest problem I have with final stage is that takumi didnt really win....the younger kid literally slowed down to let takumi win so he could "see his wings"

thats a reoccurring theme in Initial D, takumi wins/the best but not really

Takumi vs other 86 - Kid slowed down to let him pass
Takumi vs S2000 - takumi bing younger managed to outlast a sick/heat stroked older man (depending on translation)

Takumi vs Evo - the 86's motor blew and even team emperor said in a race that in race a motor blowing is a loss....but this is not an official race due to plot reasons even though there was witnesses to the race.

I know why they never had takumi lose but it would of been n interesting plot point but it would of screwed with the flow and feel of the show
