Would you like a qt to deliver your pizza to you?

Do you have a riot shield? It doubles as a umbrella and can be used as a floatation device if you add foam.

Why not fampai. Just place an order to your local pizzahut & ask for the 5 dollar flavor menu. I'm Orlando so probably can't bring it to you.
>>
>>15946956
Gluten and dairy do not like me.
>>
>>15946945
I don't have to deliver the next 2 days. Feel real bad for anyone that does. I work in avalon-east Orlando hby fellow deliveryfag.
>>
Does anybody have the caps of the guy whose pizza place was right next to the cops and they essentially bribed the cops out of any tickets with shitloads of free pizza? He had some good stories IIRC.
>>
>>15946962
Easy fix bro, we got gluten free, just ask for no cheese.
>>
>>15946972
Its not the same...
Plus im sure you guys contaminate it. All it takes is someone touching a normal pizza then touching the gluten free one and it will make me sick as fug

I work in North Palm. The worst thing is that everyone is getting gas and the stations are constantly running out, and here we are using all ours up just to deliver pizza.
>>
>>15946992
You can get any two items off there for 5 bucks each. For example 2 medium hand tossed pizzas for 10.65 comes out to the same as one large pizza. Much better deal than getting a large.
>>
How much do you make a night with shift pay?

What's your average drive time?

I sling pizzas at a local mom and pop pizzeria. I work from 5pm-10pm 3 days a week and make $35 in shift pay + $20-50 in tips (usually closer to $15-30). Take home ends up usually $50-75 a shift, made $90 last Saturday night.

I have some shitty deliveries, but usually it takes me 15-20 mins to drive out (we keep taking orders from far away.

I might work somewhere else soon, though we get free pizza as a perk (at the end of the night take home everything in the displays and throughout the shift). I have a feeling I can make more money at another place doing deliveries.
>>
>>15946999
No joke. Been to the ER a couple times because of it.
>>
>>15947004
You're allowed to get gas while on the clock? Manager would chew me out for even stopping at a gas station to piss while on a delivery.
>>
>>15947031
No ours would kill us, but I mean I probably wont be able to get gas after tonight for a bit, so I am worried about how much I will use up
>>
worth doing in a truck that gets 13mpg?
>>
>>15946871
Anybody in Athens, GA want a Tip?
>>
>>15947026
Average drive time is probably around 25 mins. Sometimes I get fucked and have to go into gated communities all day, the kind that don't have a keypad for a code. Pretty rich area so they have a guard that I have to talk to every time and then wait for them to call the house and open the gate for me.

Usually make 90 in tips that I report 6 dollars of on weekends this last week I made 130 plus wage of 8.05 and I worked from 12pm-4am. Shit was crazy. Normally pull 10 hours shifts 3 times a week.

Weekdays are pretty unpredictable, sometimes I'll make $10 but usually no more than 60.

We get free pizzas if we ask for em.
>>
>>15947077
No joke pissed myself while on a delivery once. Every time I would get back in I'd be back out immediately on a triple.
>>
>>15946871
why is every kevin an asshole, kind of chad but not as popular with girls
>>
The cheese boiling on the small of my wrist, the reeking dough stench on my chest and arms, I was a pizza delivery man and I'd had enough.
>>
>>15947112
I did it for a while but then I bought a corolla and its so much more worth it if you get 25+. Before I would put 20 dollars everytime I went to work now I'm only putting 10 in and I usually don't even go through that much.
>>
>>15947116
Tips? What tips? I didn't get any tips tonight.
>>
>>15947130
I don't know really. At a young age I just felt like I was meant to be where I was. Like I was entitled to all the breaks given to me by those above me and all the things given to me that I didn't rightfully deserve. Think I was always just in the right place at the right time with the right people to get special treatment.
>>
>>15947123
That's not bad. Off the books or on the books?

I'm off the books (all cash) but given the area I'm in I think I should make more, if that's the case. I made $114 last Monday from the Giants vs Vikings game from 5pm-11pm (delivering a wing restaurant) which was nice, works out to $19/hr

>>15947031
Mine wouldn't give a shit if it was on the way back. It happens.
>>
>>15947161
We "have to" report our tips to the computer at the end of our shift but I never report even close to what I make, if I did I'd only make like half of what I do now. My $200 a night would drop to a 100 and that's just not worth it for all the work I do.
>>
>>15947144
I'm asking you if you want a tip you dumb nigger

I feel bad for pizza delivery drivers. I live in a wealthy area and I generally tip between $4-$5. I get that the food may be "cheaper" than eating out, but someone still took the effort to deliver shit to me and wear/tear, living, etc. is not cheap, at least where I am.

Can't order chain pizza though. If I had to it'd be pizza hut. Thankfully I live in NY and the local slice is much better.

>>
>>15947574
Why does that shit taste exactly the same everywhere? Do you bake your pizzas out of a box?

Delivering, how much do you average on a weeknight?
>>
>>15947365
>Can't order chain pizza though. If I had to it'd be pizza hut.
What, there's no mountain mikes there? How can you honestly say you'd order Pizza Hut ever?
>>
>>15947711
$60 on a rush dinner shift during the week
$80 to 100 on a fri/sat/sun dinner rush shift
which is 5 to 9~10

if you're lucky you'd break 120

The reason the pizza taste not great is that the "Robust Tomato Sauce" is 1/2 water and 1/2 marinara. You should specially request Marinara everytime you order. It doesn't cost extra and it's actually marinara.
>>
>>15947727
If it was between no pizza and pizza hut, I'd probably do it.

Downstate NY (where I live) and upstate NY, for instance, are totally different.

Ever been to columbus ohio? I've tried non-chain pizza, and it's pretty grim. I'd take Pizza hut over that readily.
>>
>>15947757 here
My comments to non-chain pizza are exclusive to Columbus. Downstate NY, almost any non-chain pizza place is miles better than chain pizza.
>>
>>15946871

how do feel about delevering food to black neighborhoods? pls respond
>>
>>15946871
Do you deliver on a hard time limit? My company has one.
>>
>>15947817
If you look at avalon, its in Orlando its the second richest part of Orlando. The closest thing to a black neighborhood here is the upscale apartments. And those start at $1200. The blacks in Avalon are educated and respectable for the most part. However if I had to deliver to a black neighborhood I'd probably carry a bat.
>>
>>15947777
2009 Toyota corolla.
>>
>>15947835
Well kind of. We give a hard time of when exactly its going to be delivered at the time of order and then try to beat that time. But I've delivered 3 hours late (past given time) during a tropical storm and still charged for it.
>>
>>15947129
Just stop and piss somewhere, is your manager that much of a Nazi that they check your drive times every day? I've know other drivers who would stop and get food if it was busy and they couldn't get a break
>>
my pizza delivery driver drives a modified 2015 subaru imprezza wrx his parents own the pizza shop

i have been meaning to offer him a dab as a tip
>>
>>15948079
Only way I'm allowed to eat is if a pizza gets made wrong and then they just set it aside for whoever wants it. They give me some dirty ass looks too if I order a pizza or something for myself, god forbid I put the %30 employee discount on it I think management would lose their minds.
>>
>>15948100

>>
Thinking about becoming a delivery driver. How much will my insurance go up? And, will I be required to have one of those stupid light boxes?

Any chains that don't have these things?
>>
>>15948470
Some places let you opt out of the light boxes but they pay you less per delivery cause of it.

Don't tell your insurance.
>>
>>15948561
and If I get in a 3 way pepperoni collision?
>>
>>15948569
Don't do that :^)
>>
American Takumi here. I just got hired at Pizza Hut literally this week as a delivery driver? What should I expect? I'm delivering pizzas in a Scion Fr-S btw. Only making 8.25 plus tips and 35ยข a mile, I hope it's worth the shitting on my car lol.
>>
Different pizzanon here, I ran pizzas in northern ky for about half a year before moving.

>>15947031
I only gassed up on shift once due to poor planning. Only took about 5 minutes added on to one of my faster deliveries, manager never noticed.

>>15947112
pizza hut will pay you based on your mileage which they adjust based on your vehicle model, but you reach a point of diminishing returns where under 20mpg they dont pay "enough" to cover where a normal car that gets 30+ gets more % of gas covered.

>>15947026
average shift was 6 hours for me, 4-5 nights a week. 25 hours a week, give or take 3.

Drive time avg was probably 15 mins, mostly inside city limits but we ran the occasional out to bumfuck nowhere, systems gave us 45mins runtime on those.

I would get paid 2.25 an hour + tips (minwage at time was 7.75), pulled probably 300 a week working part time.

>>15947835
don't deliver late, then you don't have to worry about delivery time. Korean advice.

>>15948167
we didn't get to do 30% off, we'd get a $5 voucher towards any 1 meal per shift. So with specials we could get a free med pizza every shift. Our kitchen staff hated making pizzas for drivers so the drivers made their own food. Naturally we loaded it the fuck up.

>>15948470
don't tell your insurance. If they ask, tell them that you're kitchen staff and you commute 30+ miles each day, explaining the mileage.
You aren't required to have one of the stupid light boxes, but it looks much more official, and when you pick the wrong house on delivery and walk up with a black bag and the person answers the door holding a hunting rifle, that little lit up sign goes a loooong way towards defusing the situation.
>>
>>15948767
at 35 cents a mile, you're pretty well off. I assume you're somewhere like NY, FL, CA, WA because high min wage?

>what to expect?
On busy days, you'll just sit in your car and play middleman. Pick up pizza(s), sometimes as many as 4 orders, run them out to houses, collect signatures if necessary and tips, and get back to store. If super busy, my store workers would be waiting at the door to run pizzas out to me and I wouldn't even get out of my car seat.

Expect on slow nights to do a moderate amount of maintenance type stuff, like kitchen cleaning, scrubbing the industrial fryer, and not making much money because LolNoTips.

here, If I'm hired on as a Dagumi, you aren't required to work prep, register or shoving the cheesy jew into the oven during slow hours?

Neat.

Also, did the Pizza stench stay in your car?
>>
>>15948856
pizza stench? its contained to the heat bags, only thing I did have to do is that I'd carry a lot of the grease from the store into my car and by extension my bedroom.
After about a week I noticed my seat began to get "plasticky" feeling (cloth seats) and that my mattress was looking "darker".

Long story short, life tip as well. You will be fucking covered in grease. Shower after every shift, and do more frequent laundry.

I never had to touch the register, I did the occasional prep but it was mostly just laying out pizza shells. I didn't ever prep pizzas but if we were busy I'd stand on receiving end and shovel them out of the oven into boxes and bump orders, but most of that was just to get my orders out the door and into my car.

Better pricing than pizza chain Round Table in the west coast states. A 14-inch all meat pizza is $22.99 plus tax. Delivery charge is extra.
