Do you fill your car tires with nitrogen? Has it benefitted you more compared with oxygen?
>>15941075
Yeah but every time I bump the kerb I explode and die it's really annoying
>>15941075
I probably see an extra 0.5 to 1 mpg.
>>15941077
are you retarded ? nitrogen is stable and neutral
you just won't loose pressure over time compared to air filed tires
>>15941088
You're thinking of hydrogen
>>15941075
Last time we had this thread, the general consensus was it doesn't matter unless you're racing.
>>15941087
Sounds like you just filled your tires correctly dipshit.
>>15941098
nope nitrogen
you know the stuff that composed 78% of the air we breathe
>>15941075
No.
>>15941103
Sounds like you don't regularly change the air in your tires.
>>15941075
Memegas on passenger vehicles.
Who the actual fuck puts oxygen gas in their tires?
>>15941075
about 78.09% of my tires, yes
>>15941075
>not filling with helium for weight reduction
>>15941443
>hydrogen filled tires
>Magnesium Wheels
>lightweight lithium battery
let's go full flammable
>>15941075
Nitrogen tire pump where?
>>15941508
lots of tire shops and some mechanics
yes, you need to go to the shop to fill your tires if you want nitrogen
>>15941508
Not having your own nitrogen canister.
>>15941628
>filling your tires with damp molecules
>>15941458
>magnesium wheels
>flammable
You do know that magnesium has a flash point of about 600F right?
>>15942164
You know under excessive breaking wheels can heat up to over 800° right?
>>15941443
Probably a stupid question, but would this actually do anything?

>>15941075
the average car wont see a large benefit from nitrogen filled tires.
>>15942231
Forza 5
>>15942230
The helium would probably leak out as the molecules are quite small. The tire would be lighter of course and reduce unsprung weight. Not sure how much pressure would fluctuate with heat
Unrelated but about tires
I just bought 2 tires (back) and the dude tried to upsell me to buying warranty on all 4 tires. I said I didn't even get those tires through them but he said they'll still cover them. I took it, and I was thinking of putting a nail in the shoulder of one in front in a couple months or so.
This guy was just pushing commission on me and I'm sure they can't give me a warranty on my fronts, but do you think they'd honor it
if so, the warranty would've been worth because the fronts are ~160-180 each
>>15942315
Probably not. You should try anyways.
>>15942315
Warranty or road hazard? A nail would be road hazard. The tire simply falling apart would be warranty. Doing a burn out and wearing down tread would be ware
>>15942230
your car might float away
>>15942184
>excessive breaking
Yeah dumping your wheels in a kiln to break them could be considered excessive
>>15942352
road hazard, sorry
if not I'll come in tomorrow to refund
