Owner reporting in, worst vehicle ever, absolutely terrible, never buy one, just the shittiest possible car that was ever made in history. Don't listen to anyone tell you that it's fun, just an overpriced memebox on wheels.

If youre the type of person who looks at vehicle performance numbers, its trash.

If youre the type of person who enjoys the sensation of driving, theyre pretty good. 7/10 with the potential of 8.5/10 with some mods.

Source: Owned a silver GTS hatch for 10 years. I dont think I'd pay what theyre asking for them now though.

I have always loved your car dude love that silver with the watanabes
Did you sell it? Havent seen it for months

I've always wondered how do people make these drift easily. Having no HP is tough to get the car to actually slide unless you really push it into a turn.

I have an 85 Celica Supra that i'd like to try drifting with, but it doesn't seem to want to slide that well.

Thanks m8. Wish they were Wats. They're koenigs, kinda knockoffs but then Wats are knockoffs of the original Minilites so idk? Nah I'll never sell my car. Too many good memories at the track and in the canyons with friends. I rarely come on /o/.

>>15931965
>unless you really push it into a turn

Nailed it. Lots of entry speed, and lots of clutch kicks to keep the engine in the powerband. Cant really use ebrake because it slows the car down too much and you fall out of the power. Best way to get a feel for drifting is at the track where you can experiment and make mistakes without consequence.
>>
>>15931965
they are sort of unstable

I drove an sr5 for a few years and it was a wonderful shitbox. I paid $600 for it and it was a fun gas saver but don't be fooled by Initial D and dorifto meme tax, it's comparable to a lowest of the low trim fox body mustang but with toyota reliability.

Funny you say this, I have a friend with a built road course foxbody and it handles very similar to my corolla, both being unibody solid rear axle FR macpherson strut front cars. Foxbody had nowhere near the steering feedback but the way you drive them is eerily similar.

Haha they are kinda flexy but not that bad. I simply have that rear wheel dropped in a ditch immediately off the edge of the track that was dug by people doing the exact same thing.

And there lies the magic. Its a good formula similar to the Mk1 escort and 2002 bmw. Simple easy to work on construction. Light. Reliable. Just tune the motor a bit, sort out the suspension, put some decent rubber on, and you have a big ass smile on your face in something thats not another miata. I will admit the drift tax makes it not really worth it tho. Supply and demand is a bitch sine theyre all geting smashed up down at the track.

Thanks man, its a great motor. Bit down on power compared to a B16, but I've beat mine mercilessly for six years and its not skipped a beat. Plus it already had a couple drift seasons on the build before I even put it in my car. I will say after so many years on the limiter its starting to smoke and burn oil. Will prob just do a basic rebuild and keep on trucking tho.
>>
>>15932534
I was looking into ways to safely add a supercharger to a Blacktop but it doesn't seem like the best thing to do, seeing on how the internals are pretty lightweight and designed for NA revving, that and how high the compression is.

Still, I'd like a little more power. Something around the 190-200hp mark would be perfect in my AW.

Yeah man you have a nice setup, just go drive the shit out of it! I had a turbo SW20 for awhile. Mid engine is awesome, until I found bearing pieces in my oil pan and had to make a quick sell haha. pic related
