>be me, looking for a daily driver for around $1000
>get sucked into buying a BMW E21 for $1300
>spent more money than purchase price on repairs, but I didn't mind
>in a last gasp of retardation, I fuck up the sunroof and the entire thing rips off on the freeway
>cost to replace sunroof is just un-justifiable
>back to a budget of $1000, maybe 2000
>can't go back to having a shitcan Civic or Corolla after all the compliments I got on my E21
How do I get over this, bite the bullet, and buy a car that's actually semi-reliable?
buy an E30.
>>15905278
>>15905294
Get a corolla. Its faster and handles better than both anyway.
>>15905331
>corolla
>handles better than an e30

>anything but an over rated turd
Kek
Stop buying shit used cars? Get a newer car, pony up the money and at least get something from 2005+. You'll get better milage, chicks will know you're not a poorfag, insurance and maintenance will drop.
>>15905349
>>15905360
Ignorant fanboys
Kekles
E30s are slow as fuck and turn like a mustang
Rivet plate in place of sunroof. Problem solved.
>>15905363
>help guys I am retarded and cannot into cars
back to r/cars faggot
>>15905363
>insurance on a newer, more expensive car will be cheaper

hue
>>15905387
e30 m3 =! e30 1.8l
>>15905387
>to this day
No thats a miata. Which is also faster and handles better. Kek.
E30 is not E30 M3 btw. Keep your goalposts in check. And even the M3 was shit and got beat by FWD corollas. Look it up fanboy
>>15905363
Cost to insure 1.3 2000 Subaru Justy for one year: £2000+
Cost to insure any 70s classic car on classic policy including commuting: sub-£200
Maybe the States is different?
>>15905402
I know you're trolling but still
the E30 M3 is the most victorious and most raced car in history, one must be living in a cave not to know such facts
>>15905414
Go look it up and stop being a retarded fanboy
>>15905402
>look it up fanboy
Post a link where it states that the Corolla was better than the E30?
Because such articles never existed lmao
>>15905419
Holy fuck youre dumb
>>15905425
>ad hominem adds merit to my arguments
how does it feel to live in a delusion? The E30 was the car that earned BMW the "Ultimate Driving Machine" title and made them successful.
>>15905419
Oh I looked it up

>b-but it was raced a lot
Kys fanboy
Also M3 is not the same as 1.8 E30.
Both being slower than corollas.
Also
Most raced car is a miata (still faster than E30)
>>15905456
>JDM fanboy doesn't realize the E30 came in I6 2.5L configuration too
>>15905470
You mean the one that made the car heavier and produced shit power?
>>15905456
there are almost no Miatas outside Japan, UK or the USA
E30s are raced worlwide (and most importantly Europe)
And there have been produced 2.3 million E30s worldwide in comparison to 421k NA miatas so naturally E30s have been raced more
You're blindfolded or retarded obviously, did you even read any of the articles?
>can't go back to having a shitcan Civic or Corolla after all the compliments I got on my E21
So you are going to put yourself through financial difficulty for a couple compliments?

How can you even ask that question when the differences are obvious?

>E30s are raced worlwide
Most third world nations import almost strictly japanese cars.
You will find more miats anywhere in the world than you will find E30's
you have to accept you don't have the budget for a good car
stick to something decent to save money for a while, 90s saturns tend to be pretty reliable and the plastic panels mean if you keep them clean they look pretty sharp (no rusting)
>>15905515
Let me spoon feed you baby boy.
(Also faster than a e30 btw)
>>15905519
third world nations such as?
In european/middle eastern third world countries you only see old german cars
In Africa you only see imported beat to shit old german cars
>>15905525
how does this prove your point that the E30 is an overrated turd and that it wasn't/isn't the most successful touring cars ever?
>>15905547
>says e30 is most raced car
>gets proven wrong
>pretends that wasnt the argument
Fuck off fanboy.

Is it just me, or does this BMW resemble American muscle cars of the same era? Or, do American muscle cars resemble the BMW?
>>15905503
I also loved the look and the way it felt to drive. I have a hard time imagining a Japanese econobox feeling the same, especially stock.
>>15905374
I came here to say this. Also use a sealing adhesive compound when you attach it so its watertight. Bonus points if you use a metal sign and make it look cool.
