Hey guys. So I bought a bike a few months ago but couldn't ride it cause I haven't taken the BRC (marine corps forces you)
I've been starting it every week but this last time I started it it started smoking white...
Could it be old gas or am I fucked?

blown gasket, oil is getting into the cylinder
>>15880695
Would that cause a high idle too?
>>15880758
what does the smoke look like? dissipates quickly / pure white or clings to the air for awhile and has a light blue tint to it?
>>15880758
If it has a carburetor the Carbs need to be cleaned or adjusted. How much white smoke was it putting out?
It would also help us to know what bike it is.

White. And it comes out with the "puff puff puff" of the exhaust. I didn't notice a blue tint to it

See above. 1996 Honda cb750 nighthawk

You didn't say pic related genius.
How long did you run it and did the white smoke keep coming out? What did it smell like?
>>15880793
It started like 30ish seconds after I started it. Smelled weird couldn't really pinpoint the smell to a known smell I know. But the high idle started as soon as I started it

could be something as simple as condensation in exhaust.
Could also be burning coolant. your bike is water cooled right?
>>15880804
did it happen to smell sweet at all? a high idle means a lean condition, coolant in the chamber can cause that.

Does your bike have a choke? or is it auto choked?
If auto choked then the bike its choking itself to get warmed up.
Im assuming it's air cooled and if the smoke did not smell like oil smoke, or smell sweet, odds are its just condensation, and you should have just run it for a bout 10 mins it should have gone away.

I'm pretty sure it's air cooled. If I remember correctly all CB750 engines are air cooled
