So I have the chance to buy this early 80s F100 in good shape for basically nothing. How hard is it to find an affordable bed for these? I believe it was originally the SWB stepside, which makes my penis hard.

How much is basically nothing
>>15816305
More than the truck is worth.

Is that the gas tank underneath it?
Just build yourself a flat bed, weld up a frame and make a wood floor for max aesthetic

Trading an old gun I never use for it. Prob $400 value.

Damn. That much?? It can't use the f150 ones from the same gen?

Beds are easy as hell to get.
This is the '80-'86 body style, just start calling local junkyards.
Tape some taillights to it and drive it to wherever you find a bed, take a buddy. Bolt it on and drive home.

I only did a quick search but the only bed I saw was $1700. You may get lucky and find one cheap, but you'd be better off to just flatbed it.

That's a good question. Where is the tank on these without the bed?
>>15816550
don't know if helps
pic dual tank option

The tank always attaches to the frame, dingus. On fords, it's inside the frame (on chebbies you'd get saddlebags)
I don't know how quick the beds of wrecked trucks go at pick n pulls but that would really be your best bet.
I wouldn't put too much money into it though even if it runs 100%.

What's too much? And any reason why? I thought these old box trucks were sorta sought after, esp the short bed step sides. Regardless I'd just drive it.
