Is Volvo's market is safe cars that can stand the harsh scandinavian winters, why are most of their models FWD and not AWD ?
Because AWD are training wheels for wannabe racers and really only necessary for top tier rally racing.

Coincidentally iirc Volvo is one of the few companies thay actually sells twin charged (both turbo and supercharged) cars which is something that originates from the golden era of rally racing.

You can get away with FWD in snow easy as long as you've got decent tires. You don't absolutely need AWD unless you live somewhere where they don't plow.

I did deliveries in the snow with a dodge neon. I cant fucking believe i was pulling handbrake turns and doing 5mph powerslides in city traffic while working but rofl i released my inner takumi
