What engine is this.
It belogs to a 68 cadillac but i need to figure out which one. The car had an engine swap and the owner knows nothing on the car.

Who cares its a shitty outdated American trash.
>>15761878
It has lasted more than most foreign cars of it's age.

302?
Caddi 472?

V8? Try and guess the capacity which could help, I'm guessing 3-400 and something cubic inches, but I could be wrong.
Also, look on the internet for engines available with the specific year, model, and trim if you know what it is. This will narrow it down, and because it's probably a reasonably small v8, you got something to go on.

>it's probably a reasonably small v
You do realize this is a Cadillac right? During the muscle car wars when cubic inches were king and Cadillac was crazy enough to literally stick a 500 cubic inch V8 in a FWD car.

Statistically speaking, and assuming it's still factory it's probably a 472.

If it's an engine swap it could be a 350. It's a GM motor for sure though

a 350? with the distributor in front
sure buddy what are you smoking
472 or 500 V8; it looks to have been swapped to the stock engine, but it has a later electronic ignition in lieu of points.

Buick 350 has that, pic related. The distributor is even on that side. Details like valve cover design, front engine dress, etc, give OP's pic away as a Cadillac though.
