Halp, /o/, pls. Trying to diagnose the problem on a car. On cold starts the car gets ridiculously low idle and stalls out, but if I keep the revs steady and wait for the car to warm up (generally a minute, or for the needle to get past the bottommost line), the revs don't drop anymore. I haven't been able to notice anything else abnormal, but couldn't figure out what this was.
2004 Hyundai Accent, if it helps. Pls.
Your throttle body is probably dirty as fuck

Change out spark plugs, clean throttle body. Clean intake filter
Nigger every car has to warm up for the engine to work properly, it's fine. Unless you live in a fucking glacier 4-5 minutes should be more than enough for the engine to warm itself up

Uh, no. It shouldn't shut off just from trying to start it.

Maybe you're not pressing the clutch in enough.
Either way I don't really know that much. Sorry m8

Is your car equipped with an idle-up solenoid?
It is basically a valve that lets more air into the intake on cold starts. It could be dirty, or stuck, or simply unplugged.

Follow up post.
Look for this little black box on the left. It should be on your intake. This is your Idle Air Control valve. Make sure the connector isnt damaged and reseat it, you can also remove the Idle Air Control Valve and inspect it for being dirty or broken.
I had this problem as well on my 07 Fiesta. Turns out it was the O2 sensor.
