I've just found out I can get one of these for 20% discount through my work's employee benefits programme. So I get a 370z Nismo (£38k) for £31k.
Should I do it, /o/?
Also 370z thread.
It should be getting the Vr30Dett soon. Would hold off until a new z car.

This
370Z is old hat and has been since it was brand new
nah wait till they make a new one, unless of course you REALLLYYYY want it and if you do then get it.

>>15743411
Isn't the next Z gonna be a Toyobaru memecar though? The Nip businessfolk are too scared of making a decent car that isn't their GTR halo.
>>15743416
More like they can't build something with the Camaro and Mustang's performance and low cost
The Z car is stagnating and Nissan is scrambling to find a way to make it appeal to people again
>>15743420
So they're likely going to downgrade it to memecar muh-driving-feels tier, right? Why am I being told to wait for a new one when it's most certainly going to be worse performance-wise than the current one, because the Nissan suits are getting cold feet?
>>15743435
Depends, is your commute on the Nurburgring and you'll be hitting 100+ mph every time you go buy groceries racing Camaros and Mustangs?
Then yes, get the 370Z. Otherwise the "memecar muh-driving-feels" car will be more....fun to drive.
>>15743544
Typically I cycle to work or I drive if the weather is shit or I fancy a b-road blast when I finish work m8
This car won't be a commute car.

tbqh famalamilia, £31k for a brand new 370 doesn't strike me as a great deal. Get something used instead, for way less money, such as an E46 M3 or Holden/Vauxhall Monaro, among others.
>>15743699
Its sarcasm
Drive the 370Z, then drive something else (fuck, even a GT86), its not that fun, it just feels "incomplete" like the rest of the VQ RWD Nissans. Like its ALMOST there, it has the right numbers on paper, but it feels bigger than it actually is and it doesn't feel agile. Very high limits (no one says it can't handle), its just that you have to be driving like a fucking moron in it to enjoy it.
Honestly I'd rather drive a used E46 M3/Evo/STi or if you're American the Mustang 5.0.
Buy a nismo if you don't have a soul, buy a 280 if you don't have a life, and buy a 240 if you don't care
>>15743750
English.
I've owned an E46 M3 before. Briefly though, the repair bills caught me off guard. Needed a new gearbox. Never again. I also want one that's new as I've never owned a new car before now. The only other car I like is the Golf R but I can foresee me getting bored of it very quickly, because it's just "too" competent.
>>15743902
I can tell you this much.
My Z is way more fun than my mate's mk7 Golf r.
Around the ring I enjoyed my Z more than the 458 as well, although the fear of damaging the Fiat could have been a factor.
Pic related is my dd and it's fucking great.
>>15743912
Yeah I have test driven a gee 30k cars and as much as I loved the Golf it was nice and quiet and comfy and spacious and it had lots of creature comforts. And it was a very fast car and could tuck itself into corners like a goodun. But I'm not looking for that for my semi-daily. The Golf eventually would become tiresome because there'd be nothing interesting about it once I've gotten used to it.
I hated the new Type R, I wasn't keen on the M140i, and the Merc is an overpriced meme. I'm yet to test drive the Nismo.
>>15743394
Are you a nigger?
>>15743943
There's your answer then.
Test drive the nismo and if you are anything like me you will buy it.
It does go around corners in such a nice and engaging way. You can control it really well and it is loads of fun!
Sure, there isn't that much of am "ooomph" when you put your foot down, but that linear acceleration contributes to the great handling, trust me.
It is on the heavier side, yes. But mid corner you notice that it just wants to turn.
You can get your back out slightly when braking, continue to let the car turn around the corner in a way which makes you feel it's rotating everything around its center and then apply throttle and leave that corner on all 4 wheels just ever so slightly looking for grip.
The fact that some stuff about it may be outdated is part of it's charm.
Plus whenever I park it I keep turning around to admire it. To me, it is a really beautiful car.
I have a 2011 370z that I got for about 18k USD and I use it as my DD and I love it. Decent amount of space as long as you have no need for more than 2 seats. Not to mention its absolutely beautiful.
My friends who's a valet told me that the 370 nismo feld like shit.
>>15743394
Sorry im late
>>15743394
You should wait for the 300ZX 2: electric boogaloo now with VR30DDTT.
>>15744846
>My friend who drives cars for less than 5minutes at a time and keeps them under 20mph said that this sports car felt like shit.
C'mon now. That's like taking a mcdonalds employees opinion on fine dining.
>>15745500
When will that be out famalam
>>15745823
With the recent release of the Q50S whatever bs 400 red sport with that engine, logically it would make sense to trickle it down to a Nissan car. But knowing Nissan, they will fuck it all up and stick it in a Juke or something.
>>15745830
Arent they literally making a Juke nismo kek
>>15743394
Just save more and get a mustang gt since it's faster than even the nismo
>>15745853
Juke R
