why can't the Camaro-Firebird-TransAm family turn? all that power for straights seems kinda lame.
also this interior is amazing god damn why doesn't honda make just NSXs?
are you sure the z28 cannot turn?

isn't the z28 3,400lbs? it would be too heavy to handle corners well and would rely on straights. it would have too much momentum to retain lateral acceleration without losing grip on the wheels.
Because the primary racing in the US is the drag strip or highway pulls. No one bothers to drive 2 hours into the mountains to race only to end up hitting a deer.
When you say "Camaro-Firebird-TransAm family" are you talking about the F-body series? those were the last chassis in which the Firebird was offered.

This guy supposedly got his to do a 8:03 at the ring. i do recommend watching as its pretty interesting how far he went to get this time in his firebird and hes not even a pro driver (he also did it with traffic on the ring) which leads me to believe it is capable of well under 8 minutes at the hands of a professional. i don't think he added horsepower either.
But it can turn. Extremely well.
