Are these good or shit

Apparently the motor isn't too bad

Better than lamda platform at least?
>>
Treat the 360 as a continuation of the Caprice but with a tall body.

Don't get a 4wd one, buy a tahoe if you plan on going offroad. Both engines are excellent but not very efficient in the platform.
>>
>>15614699
I own one. The engine is solid and it's been a good truck so far. Haven't really had any problems other than the speedometer breaking.
>>
Ive got an 04 envoy xl with the slt trim. It's got a nice soothing, comfy interior and the inline 6 moves the big fucker pretty good. City mileage is about 14mpg, and best I've gotten all highway is 19mpg. Its got the usual issues when the mileage gets higher but dependable, seats 8, and the 4x4 works great in heavy snow.

Does yours have normal tires on it? Mine has giant mud tires and I get like 13 mpg city, I would think that it would get better gas mileage with normal tires

This exists, though admittedly, why would you ever?
>>
>>15616918
Tbh I've been thinking of getting one. That air suspension sounds good. There's one near me with the 4.2i6, will i regret not getting the v8? I feel like mpgs will be very similar so i might as well get av8
>>
>>15616891
dejavu wtf lol i feel as if I have seen this exact post before.
>>
>>15617012
V8 makes more sense really.

Kinda like the 4.0 OHV vs 5.0 OHV in the 2nd gen explorers. The 4.0 got 1 more MPG than the V8.... its like why even offer the 6 then??
>>
>>15617058
Yeah that's my reasoning lol, i might as well get the better engine.
>>
>>15617051

He made a thread bitching about his MPGs a few days ago.
>>
>>15616918
do not buy a 9-7x unless you know a SAAB tech, even if it is a Trailblazer in drag no GM technician wants to be anywhere near it.

From my time in a GMC dealership the Envoys with the V6's seem to last for ever, the V8's can develop an oil consumption issue where the only fix is to replace all of the pistons and rings.
>>

>the V8's can develop an oil consumption issue where the only fix is to replace all of the pistons and rings.

no one believes you worked in a dealership, they were I6's not V6's.

Also, the oil consumption issue was a result of the DoD feature, the earlier V8's dont have this issue.

The saga continues. Still trying to fix this damn sunroof. Have the adjustments all the way up, still doesn't seal. Have to get a sunroof doctor kit.

My gas mileage is complete shit
>>
>>15614699
I got one as a loaner last week while my car was in the shop
Big, quiet, and comfy af
Inline 6 was plenty powerful and stereo system seemed bretty gud
I'm actually thinking about getting one now, pretty cheap around here
Only thing I know is the trannys in some are susceptible to short lifespans but what cars from the early 00s aren't anyways?
>>
>>15617227
what the fuck, they put I6s in these?

they put 4.3 V6s and yeah the V8s from what I know of.
>>
>>15617426
googling it turns out they didn't have V6s, which is fucking crazy. Cause I figured they shared the same drivetrain as the S10s. maybe it was only the early blazer SUVs.

Fuck though, I want that I6 is my S10
>>
>>15617445
The gmt360 and the S-series were two different platforms. The Trailblazer was originally a top tier package for the S-series Blazer/Jimmy, which is probably where the confusion comes from.
>>
>>15614699
The inline six is bullet proof, and trans is a solid 4 speed auto. The transfer case is gear driven.
Probably the best all around suv chevy ever built.
Make sure you DO NOT buy a 02 though. They had a ton of electrical issues.
>>
>>15617426
The vortec 4.2 I6 is a great swap engine to. Not a lot of people use it. But it comes with forged internals and has a sleeved aluminum block.
>>
>>15614699
IF you're going to get a Trailblazer, do it right.
Get a SS
>>
>>15618341
Man, mines an 02. Haven't had any gremlins so far, besides the CEL coming on whenever I get low on fuel. Hoping a can of seafoam will clean the sensor off and fix it. Having a leaky sunroof doesn't help though, I imagine.

Eats front wheel bearing assemblies (oem rheostat is also garbage) but the rest is fucking bulletproof.

Crashed mine a little over a year ago now, still miss it
>>
>>15617058
The straight six has more torque, not even joking, it's the better option
>>
>>15618660
No it doesn't you big fat liar.
>>
I like the look of the trailblazers, kind of the most elegant look a small suv ever had before the segment was btfo by crossovers.

Why were their safety ratings so trash though?
>>
>>15618684
I dunno man, mine pulls like a mule. Even if it doesn't have more torque, it's still more than adequate, and probably more fuel efficient.
>>
Alright, it doesn't, but the numbers are so close that it really wasn't worth spending more on that detuned v8

Fuck it, i give up

Here is pick of my old envoy.
>>
>>15618736
A bit top heavy. And not a lot of crumple zones. Just don't drive it like a idiot and it will be fine
>>
Are late Bravados and Raniers worth a look
>>
I thought these had some bad steering rack issues that took some ridiculous book time to change
>>
>>15618863
Not on the early models that i know of, my 03 ate front wheel bearing assemblies every 50k miles and at around 130k i had to replace the thermostat (huge pita) and a low p steering line had a small leak i sealed up.
