How come nobody here acknowledges that GM won in the same class as Ford last year?
I'm by no means a GM fangirl, but the amount of autism in threads that say that GM never won in their class or whatever is the the fucking roof.
>gm has NEVER crossed the finish line of lemans in first place
It's shitposting, anon, ignore it
>>15586461
Ford didn't cross first this year, either. That goes to Porsche.

BTFO!!

GTE > LMP
>gm has NEVER won lemans
Chevrolet has had one of the most consistent and dominant modern endurance teams next to Audi
but now they're up against turbocharging and the fuel economy benefits that accompany it, so they're a bit shit out of luck until they embrace it.
but to shit on chevrolet for coming up short this year (when they came up behind the Aston Martin who is another one of the endurance monsters), is just 4chan levels of ignorance
ford only won because they made it their mission to win, and they've been preparing for it the last three years through their daytona prototypes. but they still couldn't win the other smaller races, and if they can't win the 6 hours of mexico in september then they are really are a one-trick pony
I'm dreaming for an evening that all the ford and Gm shitposting will be attracted to this thread like a swirling vortex(toilet) and stay in this thread. Leaving the rest of /o/ free of that shit. An Anon can dream right?

toyota beat ford
so did a diesel audi
and several nissan v8s
and a honda v6
>>15586505
They've been getting nearly non stop podium finishes. How is that a one trick pony? This is why nobody goes on /o/ for logical argument. It's nothing but one sided bullshit.
>>15586513
>V8s lose to 4 cylinders
What's the point of V8s again?
>>15586514
they came in 4th at nurburgring
2nd at spa
and 4th at silverstone
being beaten by ferrari and aston martin the whole way
v8 > v6 except in fuel economy
>>15586531
And the corvette's came in at 9th at spa.
Okay, retard. Again. You're just shitposting. /o/ is nothing but one sided bullshit with no logical explanation behind it.
>>15586505
Corvette and the other NAs also have to deal with the noise restrictions in place that become less of a problem for turbo engines.
These threads are dogshit anyway and only seemed to have started this year in a concerted effort from a few shitposters. Fuckers don't even know what BoP is. If done properly, they shouldn't have to switch to a different layout or engine.
>>15586541
There are no factory Corvette programs outside of IMSA. Those are Pro-Am efforts and Larbre is French.
>>15586541
what do you want me to say
ferrari and aston martin have better cars obviously even though ford is racing a thinly disguised lmp2 car with way better aero
natural aspiration is costing the corvette a chance at this years title, but they won't be the ones to announce it. supercharging would put them even further behind and they don't have enough experience with turbos to launch into that program
but look at the auto tabloids, they've already taken a note out of fords book and have an MR car in the pipeline, likely turbocharged, that they can build 500 examples and fly it under the corvette banner and have a competitor in 2020
endurance racing is pretty fascinating when you really pay attention to it and don't listen to the memes

The corvette's have gotten their bop changes removed and they're nearly as fast as they were at Daytona. The GT on the other hand has gotten 5 bop changes slowing it down. Clearly you don't know about BOP changes either.
