Are non turbo MR2s worth owning?
You can pick these up for £800 in Britain, so is there any reason not to have one as a second car?

slightly better gas mileage if you drive it like a camry
100lbs lighter than turbo mr2 engine

Very tempted to buy a shit mr2 and combine them now

I'm actually considering getting a n/a one.
there's a guy near me selling a 88 with 70k on it for 4k. Really interested.
Get the NA. Cut a hole in the trunk and throw a "rear mount" turbo in there. Done.

Nice meme.
3S-GTE was built to compete in rally, that shitty V6 with FE economy cams were built for grandmas camry.
Stick with the turbo op.
>>15574264
yeah because it's super easy and cheap
pls stop spreadings memes
v6s are good in MR2s but the swap isn't as easy as people think it is
>>15574217
>£800 in Britain

There's a shop that does it in the UK. All you do is provide a Shell, and they'll do the rest for £4450. That's providing the engine, installing it. Making the all the gauges work.
The swap is documented.
>>15578420
i know it's documented but it's not like you can just drop in the engine. not nearly as simple as a mr-s 2zz swap, which most people on /o/ wouldn't even know where to start with.
