I want a car that is:
>Fun to drive
>Pre 1990s
>Something worth putting money into later for resale value
>Carburetor only
>Isn't a high end car, something I could pick up for sub $5000
The Craigslist I use is Maines craigslist. I'm mostly worried about rust due to the winter, but unless it's really bad I can work with it.
have you considered something like an 66-77 bronco?
they can be really nice fixed up

Boomer car.
>sub $5000
>good for resale
ehhhhh
240z, 260z, 280z seem to hold value pretty well but you'll but dealing with rust for real.
Ford Mavericks are pretty neat too.
I'd say find a Dodge dart, Plymouth Scamp, Plymouth Duster, or Valiant. They are pretty fun to drive and usually cheap.

MGB, you can pick some examples up and sell for double the price.
I'm pretty sure this is fuel injection, but would any of these be a good investment?

The last one is boston, but thats only a 3 hour drive for me.
This is something I've also honestly never heard of.

90's cars are fun to drive once you fix the horrible floppy stock shocks and springs with decent aftermarket ones.

Oh I know, but I wanted something with that classy feel. There's a local meet and everyone around me brings these sweet 70's Mustangs, Camaros, Challengers, and all that stuff.
Plus it'd be a project for me and my dad. He doesn't like cars made after 1980. lol
May be difficult to find, but 1985 Mustang GT with the manual. I m pretty sure it was the last year for a carbed mustang. And is a 4 eyed stang if that means anything. It has the good roller block and may of had the e7 heads but don't quote me on that.
Pinto or Maverick
Not to state the obvious, but if you're willing to go all the way down to Boston, there's plenty of interesting listings in NH. Where in ME are you?

Auburn. About central.
I saw Boston cuz it's a straight shot down 95. I traveled all the way to Lebanon NH to get my Neon SRT4 but if could I'd like to avoid a very long, long road trip.
